Is the Oli guy the one in charge? He wasn’t there though but was in communication with them. So if he’s in charge of them and tells them stop the game and they don’t what’s going on there. Am I missing something there? I know he’s not one of the refs but what’s his role exactly and if he’s calling in saying stop the game he must have some authority to do so.

I was hoping for some common sense.Originally posted by vlahka View PostYou sound like you expected a positive outcome for us, not getting more screwed

Damage is done, just hope it doesnt affect us too much at the end of the season.
I would like to see us use this as a catalyst and just rip every team we play a new oneLast edited by Assassin; 03-10-23, 09:37 PM.

Oli Kohout is the VAR Hub executive. He’s in charge on the tech side of things and is the Replay operator’s boss. He calls/radios the Replay Op to tell the refs to delay.Originally posted by peterbread View PostIs the Oli guy the one in charge? He wasn’t there though but was in communication with them. Basically the 2 tech guys are trying to tell the various referees that they have ****ed up. I don’t think he has authority over them, he’s just trying to intervene because he sees the refs have ****ed it.
To add to the confusion, England seems to think that the ‘Oli’ being referred to is the 4th Official, Michael Oliver -
Replay Op - ‘Oli’s saying to delay. Oli’s saying to delay.’
VAR - ‘Oli?’
4th Official - ‘Yeah?’
This is all while the ball is out of play anyway for a throw in that LFC are taking forever over.
Cluster ****..

Just so frustrating to hear the basics missing, just say onside give the goal or offside no goal. It’s not complicated.

Why is the word "off" not subtitled just as they return the decision? To me this sounds like he is communicating that the decision is offside. The conversation proceeds to say are you happy with that that image? yes, is the response then someone says but the image show him onside.
Maybe I am reading that wrong but that isn't what we were told happened before. Then they said that VAR thought it was given as a goal on the pitch and confirmed it. It seems to me that the guy drew the lines and looked at an image which clearly showed Diaz onside and said he was offside. It seems to me that he didn't even understand what he had just done. Or am I misunderstanding what happened in that clip.Last edited by Exiled_red; 03-10-23, 10:19 PM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wondered that too. What is the significance of 'off'. I gather one opinion is that is the ref confirming the decision is 'offside'Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhy is the word "off" not subtitled just as they return the decision?
