        We can only get better.

            We were talking tough aways.

It's starting to look like that Newcastle performance by us is being massively underplayed. They have been excellent at home, stuffing Chelsea and Villa, while also beating City and Arsenal. We were one down and a man down and still beat them.

We'll hammer them at Anfield too.

We are set to be around the top for start of 24.

This team is getting better all the time and looking capable of going on one of those long winning runs. We have a serious chance again.

This is true and those are hard games. Our issues have often been with the “easy” games though. Bournemouth and Forest away last season, for example. Luton this season.

For me, the next 3 “easy” games are going to be telling. Especially the away games. We need to start turning away games at the likes of Luton, Sheffield Utd, Palace, Bournemouth etc, into games we routinely win.

If we can take 9 points out of the next 3 games, that’ll tell me a lot more than yesterday or games at the likes of Newcastle, Spurs, Chelsea etc.

A third of the season gone and two points separate fourth from top. Interesting stuff.

Liverpool have conceded the opening goal in six consecutive away Premier League games for the first time since November 2006 and this is their first season without a clean sheet in their opening seven away Premier League games since 2004-05.

Surprising both records in Rafa's time. Especially as our defence was very good in 06/07 and only conceded 27 all season.

Surprised to see Arsenal still clear 2nd favourites. Think we more equipped to challenge City than Arsenal this year.

Don't forget the mighty Spurs, afterall the media were proclaiming them title winners four games ago

Quite happy to see other teams being the bookies favourites. Puts a bit more pressure on those teams and Arsenal are prone to a jitter or ten when pressure is put on them.

Definitely prefer to be the unfancied side in the race.

Having said that, if we win our next 3 league games, I think we’ll be a shorter price than Arsenal by then.
