    Aye, read that since.

I do wonder what this means for the fixture going forward, are we strictly restricted this this or the Sun 2pm kick off? Nearly hope there is trouble at this, in the City end of course.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Broadcasters don't pick us at home against fodder unless it's Newcastle/Everton or the end of season run in. We win too many home games for it to be good TV.

A tricky away to Brighton or West Ham will be picked up though

It's the knowledge that they will get good viewing figures from Liverpool fans, plus those from other clubs tuning in at the prospect of our Saturday morning jeopardy.

Nobody disputes the reason why BT would want to show us, but the numbers are still totally disproportionate. Sky would have as strong a desire to broadcast us and have 4 or 5 times the amount of slots available, but again the numbers don't stack up.

I don't really blame the broadcasters tbf, they aren't interested in our problems and pay enough not to care (although I'm sure more could be done to find a compromise). But why are the PL allowing this, we are clearly being disadvantaged by it? Keep hearing about 'integrity of the game', but where's the integrity here? Klopp made similar points about CL Wednesday games and 12.30 KO's, which eventually was taken on board, but this situation is much worse and they are willingly choosing to ignore it. I'm sure their get out will be that unlike CL games, everyone is impacted by International, so everyone can't play Sunday, but there are simple solutions if they wanted them, like play the game later that day as BT can and often do when it suits them.

They prefer to televise top teams though, so you'd expect us to have a l8t more than ManUre.

So we've pretty much reached a quarter of the season and we're within a point of Man City and Arsenal, and three points behind overachieving Spurs. Just behind us are Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton.

How are you feeling about the season so far? Are you confident we can improve further and make a go of the title? Will Man City put their foot down? Will Arsenal finally get the footballing equivalent of the Heimlich Manoeuvre and stop choking? Will Spurs keep overachieving and do a Leicester?

It all depends on injuries imo.

If City lose Haaland & or Rodri they’d struggle
If Arsenal lost Saka & or Martinelli ( or whoever) they could struggle
If Spurs lost Maddison & or Son same same or if they lost Richarlison there chances go up
If we lost Ali or Mo same same.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Maybe, don't forget a couple of years ago when we lost both Mo and Mane to Afcon we actually went on a run and won all of the games without them.

We have much better depth upfront now so hopefully the others will step up

Diaz, Jota, Gakpo and Nunez will all be available.

I do think we need to change tactics to get the best from them, it's notable how much we drop off when Salah is subbed off.

I think if we're still in and around it come Xmas/New Year then we can consider a title push.

Realistically though we are a team in transition and top 4 will still be a good result.

SB is right, injuries are key. We have decent squad depth but we'll need to be lucky with injuries. If we are, and if we keep improving I think we could be up there in with a chance of pushing City all the way again

Had Matip not scored that OG at Spurs, the top 4 would be level on points with 2 goals difference between them.

It's shaping up to be an interesting season, until Christmas at least.
                            Oh I don't know.

We managed well enough for they games they were missing. But it still bit us on the arse in terms of the toll it took on Mo’s form and fitness for the remainder of the season.

Spurs will have it easy without any Europe to play in so can rest easy between games.
