A lot of this season is about framing.

If we were in third position having fought our way up from say fifth with four games to go and being 12 points clear we’d all have been delighted. People are posting as if we are just out of relegation spots.

The fact is, as we went to face Utd we were top of the league and flying. Failing to tuck them away in the League has lead to a massive fall off in form. Which has meant we no longer look at winning the League and the Europa.

What does it mean? ****ed if I know. But the end of an era with a manager who pretty much made most of these players household names must be a factor. Klopp is burnt out. The team has been in the main remarkable this season.

We approach a new era, and I guess we all feel weird about that, but let’s not kid ourselves that this team has been poor. First season for a number of them, breakthrough for others, end of the road for some. It’s going to be transition. We literally cannot be that far away from it.

As recently as a few months ago we were mentioning the lead we would have had of three ridiculously poor decisions had gone our way. Those same three decisions would have us top off the Leagur right now. So what’s changed? The realisation that even despite those poor decisions we had it in our own hands and we’ve blown it. That’s what’s disappointing and annoying, the rest is revisionist or serves agendas and plays into the collective fear of the unknown.

Yeah a strange finish to the season. Like you said we were flying not long ago and looking ready for a strong finish and mentally so strong. But a poor result or two and they’ve just dropped off completely. Is it mental burn out trying to finish it off in style for Klopp, or are they physically spent, probably both. It’s frustrating but putting it in context of where we were at the end of last season then you’d still have to be happy on how much we’ve made up.

Our form has dropped off a cliff, those inside the club really need to figure out why, physical tiredness, mental tiredness, key players being out and off form.

We have had some (alot) of good results to get where we are, I have not been convinced that the setup of the side or the performances have been that good, 16 times out of 34 we have conceded the first goal, alot of times we have shown good mentality to come back and get points but for me there is a fundamental problem that has presumably been attempted to be addressed but we have never been able to sort it out. There have been no games where we have been able to take our foot off the gas just control the game and see out a comfortable win, nearly all our games have seen us go to the end, that has to take its toll physically and mentally.

As someone (Kenneth??) said earlier in the season at no point in the season would you have said we have been the best team in the league, to be honest 3rd is probably what we deserve.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

As Buzzo says, a lot is about framing.

We were ****ed over by referees in big games. Away to Spurs. Home to Arsenal. Home to Man City. The fact that our two rivals benefited in these doubled the impact.

We had terrible luck with injuries pretty much throughout the season.

I think we scored so many late goals early on in the season...... Having the 5 strikers for 3 positions was great. We were really looking good and it was almost no problem which 3 started...... Because if we needed a goal then Jurgen could bring on the other 2 with 15 mins to go with fresh legs. Back in November then nobody could have predicted that the forward line would all go to **** right at the same time. And just wjen Gakpo was looking good, he has a ****in day off (****in wan should have had a ****in c section yesterday ffs)

What is also frustrating is that we actually all thought that when our injured players came back for the run in - Becker, Trent, Robertson, Szoboszlai, Jones, Jota, Salah - that would see us through. It was like the squadies did well to keep us in the race and the big boys would come back and see it through. What a ****in nightmare that turned out to be. Is it because our team now have half a dozen players who aren't fully fit and in form??? Possibly. I think it is some individuals though personally. For instance, i think Robertson has been poor since he has come back but the defence was much more solid when Gomez was playing left back for a few months. Highsight and all that but perhaps we should have kept Robbo on the bench??

We could also say we didn't have the squad to play all the comps. Arsenal look fresh now - they didn't have our injury issues - but they went out of the 2 domestic cups early and probably benefited from that week in dubai once or twice since Jan as well.

          **** sake

Its also the players having signed off. Watch how they play. First instinct is to pass back. This is another reason we get dispossessed in midfield as often so our players arent paying attention behind them. When they have the ball and are looking forward you can see an opposition player in front of them. But if you look passed that you can see our players standing almost in a direct line with him so our guy cant pass to anyone. We dont even try to move to free ourselves up so they pass back again. Its dreadful to see every match them playing the same way with klopp yelling on the sidelines and they dont even listen. He was standing there yesterday during the game just adjusting his sleeve. He's completely given up on these clowns.

I mean just look at this. It happens so often. Our players are spaced so wide and the entire middle is littered with them. We have zero forward options and when we make a stupid pass they can maraud down past our highline of 3 useless defenders. This frequently happens. What ever happened to the quick diamond passing we used to do that let us move around the pitch? Completely forgotten.

The movement is really poor it's part of the issue with our link up play when we attack.

I seen this set up so many times on TV last night, it was infuriating. Absolutely nobody making themselves available for an offensive pass. It’s all backwards/sideways, too many touches when the ball is received… all so slow and painful to watch. I’m afraid to say it, but that is not just down to the players. This team is ready for change.

                  Agree with all of this.

Fairly evident that Klopp and the clubs hand was forced with the timing of Klopp's leaving announcement.

Ideally it'd have been announced after the Wolves game in May.

The clips not really about the leaving announcement

Yeah. They touch upon Klopp leaving, but it’s basically about the forwards and finishing. They’d get more hits if ot was accurately titled too.

Our build up play has been really poor and predictable really, the movement stale and we're easy to play against, maybe getting a fresh manager in with new ideas will be good for everyone.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
