I just think we'll need better to push on, and that we need better from a £50m player. He's not bad at all, he's decent, but I think he's often kinda disconnected from our attack. At Brentford he was ok, but him not making that run onto an insane pass by Darwin annoyed the **** out of me.

He's a proper winger rather than a wide forward a la Mané - I'd prefer the latter than the former but that would negate Nunez's potency in my opinion.

Salah made football guru Garth Crookes’ team of the week

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): It's no use Jurgen Klopp putting his hands on his head every time one of his players goes into a tackle. Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez all came off with injuries in Liverpool's 4-1 demolition of Brentford but that's football.

Expecting a footballer not to pick up knocks is like expecting a chef never to cut his finger. This wasn't a dirty match full of pernicious tackles but a full-blooded Premier League fixture.

****ing hell. You almost get the idea he's not keen on us but he seems to hide it well.

Why pick a player for team of the week and then proceed to not mention anything about that player/reason for picking him? ****ing idiot!

Trent and Dom are on the way back, but not in team training yet.

No mention of Salah or Nunez, we'll have to wait until the team announcement tomorrow.

Some sliver of good news that Nunez and Salah have not been totally ruled out of tomorrow.

Alisson and Jota are a massive, massive loss.

How long can you be out with a hamstring injury for? Especially if you're a keeper?

City have a grand total of 2 injuries right now, 2!

                          4 - 6 weeks?

I guess it is the "for the foreseeable" quote that worries me. How long does that mean exactly? To me that means a few months!

So I suppose we are looking at Brighton at the end of March then. International break luckily, but still got City to come in that run.

Unless there are slip ups before that the City game looks to be season defining, while I wouldn't be too bothered about having Kelleher for any of the other games up until then, in the City game when you need to be at your best Alisson is a potential match winner.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
