Bench the whole front since their brains seem to be on holiday and put Danns on. He's clearly not going to do worse. And at least he'll be hungry to score.

Perhaps the youth team feel more pressure to perform rather than feel the pressure of results? And as they're pretty talented, they do a lot better than senior players? But what frustrates me the most is how risk averse our players are becoming, the hallmark of our earlier teams were forward runners which makes one twos and through balls much more successful. We just seem to stand still and this allows teams to keep their shape and close lanes effectively as our tempo comes to a halt.

I was hoping we'd see more 18/19 Liverpool this season.

Quite a few of the more senior players have not been over used this season.



And not as though all the senior players now fully fit after being out have come back full of running or looking like they want to run hard in games.

The minutes the kids ate up in the middle of the season has taken away a lot of the being over worked time from a number of the senior players.



Have a suspicion that for a few of the senior players we are seeing them enter a similar stage of decline (early in some cases) to what the likes of Henderson, Fabinho were entering just before their final season and also that we might be seeing one or two that have ideas of leaving the club starting to go through the motions.


Think a few senior players need to get the group together and get every geed up for one sustained push.

There are only between 7 (most likely) and 10 games left in all comps now.

One would hope that every single player at the club would be able to motivate themselves to be up for every one of those as being in a position to take advantage of the slightest slip up from City (or Atalanta for that matter) could be what adds a big medal to their collections and a reason for a big parade in the city before they all start going off this summer for the various international tournaments that will be on.

Shorter summer this year too for pre seasons etc thanks to those tournaments.

I dont buy this tired reasoning. Half the game we spend just passing backward sand sideways and only 20min at a time do we press hard. Other teams like arsenal have been running full pelt every game. We're screwing up passes from the first minute of games.
