Yeah he played really well. A lot If hype around Doku’s speed. He has quick feet, but he isnt that quick. Joel left him for dead a couple of times when dribling out from the defence

That run when he skinned him was amazing.

Shout out for Tsimikas too. Not as eye catching as Trent or Matip, but solid today and fully justifying Klopp's confidence in picking him.

I was very surprised with the call, but when I shared my thoughts on my LFC WhatsApp the response was 'am I drunk?'. Which I was, so just accepted I must be wrong.

Still think it was quite generous so am feeling there is an angle I haven't seen yet.

I think it was the right decision. The issue is that you half expect refs and VAR to **** it up, so something less than a suplex on the keeper could be a foul, could be a goal, it’s a ticket in the VAR lottery. But Alisson should have been more commanding.

Probably sums my position. I was focusing on what I expected the officials to give, rather than what was the correct decision. Also didn't realise the ref blew on first watch, which was obviously the main deciding factor.

Actually agreed with a lot of your in match commentary when I skim read afterwards.

There were moments where he was so casual, and he can be frustrating. But he is a creative force and I guess we have to accept not every pass will be a killer one. But he is always trying to make a significant impact on the game and it’s hard to knock that.

Trent is obviously better suited going forward.

Its a shame that his situational awareness in terms of defence is not as good. He could probably do a job as DM, but I personally would not trust him there. He would be like Gerrard when he played there, with all the wrong instincts.

We bought a lot if new midfielders in the summer, but I dont think we have the right mix to be honest. Regardless, there is immence quality in there, and Klopp is still the best manager in the world.

We took a point of the best team in Europe away from home, still not playing particularly great. These players have a lot if potential, as well as the will to fulfill it.

I thonk Klopp needs to sign a new contract to see that through to fruition.

I thought that it was the correct decision to disallow it and that VAR should have upheld the onfield decision under the rules. But I wasn’t confident that they wouldn't change it because of how **** and inconsistent VAR has been this season in particular.
