Was he carded at all? Surely that allows for retrospective action and should be a red card

Palace have made the most tackles in the PL (by a fair margin), but had zero red cards before yesterday, and the second least amount of bookings.

We on the other hand have made the 3rd least amount of tackles, but lead the way for red cards.

Ayew was behind Virg and stepped in front of him intentionally to prevent a quick free kick. He then gestures like he's trying to get out of the way, whether that's to fool the ref or it's genuine after he realised you can't do that any more, but the damage was already done and his actions prevented Virg taking a quick free quick. No complaints.

Yeah, and it's obvious to us but never mentioned by the commentary or in the post match analysis. It's quite bizarre

And how weird is it that Roy has no reaction to anything during the game. Maybe it's medical instruction not to get over excited. His face warmed up when he met that famous fella Klopp at the end of the game

Ward was already on a yellow, so he should have been off for that tackle. Ref just didn't have the bottle to give it and reduce them to 9 men.

On another note, I was at the game and Luis Diaz’s dad was right night to me. Tiny bloke, but a bit of a celebrity. Was asked for loads of selfies and he was happy to pose for all of them. For the second half, he had to stand on a seat to see
