Couldn’t really tell from watching on tv, didn’t think it sounded particularly quiet or anything though- especially for a cup game… I reckon he’s saying it just to try build a hostile atmosphere for the arsenal game. Arsenal have **** the bed many times at anfield, and I reckon klopp wants to see cam they cope with the pressure of a noisy anfield, with top spot on the line.

Packing your stadium with £450 hospitality seats would have an impact on the atmosphere.

        Who would have thought?

That is too easy an answer imo.

And, I don't think that is the problem - at least not the sole problem - and certainly those aren't the supporters Klopp was referring to last night. In general and this is across many clubs the demographic of the match going support is getting older and older. Maybe some are slightly jaded having been going for decades. These supporters can be as big an issue in terms of what they bring than those who get to go once in a blue moon.

Now, I appreciate this isn't all people who go all the time, but it is definitely some.

I got the feeling he was just pissed off with the negative vibes from the people sat behind him.

TBH, if the stadium is anything like this place, it would be an utterly miserable place to go to.

I mean, everyone has the right to an opinion online and in the stadium, but there is so much negativity everywhere. Which is nuts given expectations at the start of the season compared to where we are today.
            Oh I don't know.

Got forwarded a message from a season ticket holder in that section who said that's exactly what it is, specifically aimed at those supporters behind him as he's had a few exchanges with them in the past.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Fortunately it is not! I have found it to in the main be a positive and inspiring atmos.

Klopp should come to a Hearts game with me if he wants to truly experience negativity, poison and vitriol.

Klopps reaction last nighjt tells us how important Saturday is, and you are right, we have only lost one League match this season, we are right in the middle of a title race and everyone (online anyway) is negative as ****.

That is not the vibe that will take us across the line. We may not be the machine we were a few years ago, and we may look a little less pleasing on the eye. BUT. We need to stop pushing for perfection, get behind the team and see if we can win a title.

For most of the post 80's pre Klopp era we would be absolutely dreaming of being in this position.

It's probably been going on much longer, but it's only something I've picked up on more this year (ironically, first season I haven't been over to a match), but local fans not wearing colours to the match, only 'Wools', what's that about? And what's it achieve? Up to people what they wear, personally I would never wear a top to a bar or a match, but that's only because I wouldn't wear sportswear in a bar. But why would fans feel the need to abuse other fans (as I've seen online) for wearing colours?

Surely that sort of elitist attitude and segregation does nothing to aid our matchday atmosphere? I'm sure it's been going on for many years, but I just don't get it. Did Shankly not often reference the sea of Red at Anfield and how intimidating it was?

Similar with the attitude to people with their phones out at matches - almost always referred to as "tourists".

But if you look on YouTube, there's loads of regulars that upload their match footage. They must literally be filming the whole match. Every match.

Filming everything on phones is endemic in society and has barely anything to do with how often someone goes to a football match.
                    Oh I don't know.

But slightly older Liverpool fans have been some of the luckiest football fans ever in terms of witnessing their team win things. They should feel some of the least jaded.

Modern football fans are fickle as **** and theyÂ’re no different with Liverpool FC. Yes there are more tourist fans nowadays but if there wasnÂ’t, the club wouldnÂ’t earn as much money and thus would be at a relative disadvantage when it comes to winning things in English football. So native scouse Liverpool fans canÂ’t have their cake and eat it.

Klopps right to call them out, I’m sure the players also think so sometimes even though they parrot something different but your average EPL fam isn’t worth listening to or taking seriously

I think last nights fans are mainly collateral damage in Klopp’s attempt to raise the roof for the arsenal game. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

True. Wonder if Arteta has the speakers out at training this week.

If Arsenal are untested in anyway it is in playing in these high profile games, finals, league deciders, games where it matters most.

Klopp has rightly identified this as a massive game. Win this and we have massive momentum. Top at Christmas. 7 points clear of City (them with 1 game in hand).

FWIW, I think the criticism was towards the ST home game crowd, last night sang their hearts out throughout. His anger was that Sunday's crowd couldn't lift themselves against Utd at home and that pissed him off

Yeah the crowd sounded in good voice last night & we’ll need that against Arsenal for sure.

I see plenty of people at art galleries who only look at a piece of art through their camera lens. I just don't get it. And more generally it is as if people can't experience something and can't tell people about an experience without having photographic evidence that they were there. Or do they really look back again and again whilst basking in fond memories at what they have filmed/taken a picture of.
