xG has some subtle differences depending on the model - I think our xG got massively inflated by the two pens and the actions around them. Both chances that lead to the pen would have a high xG value, the pens themselves would have a high xG value and then Trent’s follow up on the first pen would have v high xG as well

We absolutely battered them and it’s reflected in the xG difference but the numbers are slightly inflated due to the above reason. 2 actions for the second pen and 3 actions for the first one

It depends on if a shot was taken - the models are different depending on which site measures it.

I think we still had 5.69 xG excluding pens so it was massive

Under Law 12 of the game regarding disciplinary action, it is stated: "If the referee plays the advantage for an offence for which a caution/sending-off would have been issued had play been stopped, this caution/sending-off must be issued when the ball is next out of play.

"However, if the offence was denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, the player is cautioned for unsporting behaviour; if the offence was interfering with or stopping a promising attack, the player is not cautioned."

With Liverpool having continued their attack for a significant time after Joelinton's offence, it explains why he avoided censure.
