If we have one of these nights and it all clicks some records could be set.

And Curtis Jones has to be first choice in the midfield. He’s vital to everything we do and is flying right now. It’s a shame Endo is off as he’s next pick and the base they build is looking great. But Mac Allister looked good in the short time he was on, his passing range is great. I’d like to see Endo Jones and Mac Allister together.
We had Tyler and Townsend on Optus Sport. Tyler always sounds like he's in mourning.

Think Mac and Jones are our best midfielders (we've missed Mac during his injury) but agree that Endo, Jones and Mac would give us a solid midfield (with Mac playing more forward).
      Another MASSIVE game

Eddie Howe saying neither of ours were pens and they should have had one...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I genuinely think we'll be fine without Salah. I'm going to go as far as to say that it might give us food for thought..
          Really?

Doesn't he top our tables for goals and assists? He feels like a big loss to me but it is what it is.

Yes, but I think other players will step up and share around those opportunities.

He should apply to VAR our games with that attitude.

When he loses his job next year.

I see that as quite the hope but I'm with you in hoping it .

It will be interesting to see how Klopp rejigs everything when Mo is gone.

Most goal involvements across Europe in 2023 (goals and assists). 1 day into 2024 and he is on 2 goals and 2 assists. Joint top scorer in the League, most assists in the League.

Hopefully we manage without him, and we really kick on.

It is undoubtedly a big loss. We have the forwards to cope, but they need to deliver. The narrative (not saying your narrative) that Salah is some kind of issue this season is ****ing mental.

We definitely have the players to cope. When we used to play with no real back up it was an issue. We have 5 front line forwards now.

Its funny cos Taylor gave us nothing else all game but if he didnt give both pens on field would VAR have intervened?

We worked our bollocks off and Newcastle couldn’t live with us, absolutely smashed them, on another night we could’ve easily have had 7 or 8.

Had a couple lapses at the back and got punished, most teams are never that ruthless though.

Well, that's not my view - he's immense - but I think we'll cope without him over January.

Yeah, appreciate that also and agree, we have the players to cope.

Yes, but on an average night we should have had more than 4. More to the point, we should have been able to ease off a lot earlier (as in by the 2nd half) meaning we had to still exert to the end. We were a sucker punch off a bad result, and the lads had to exert for longer than we should have.
