Yes, but on an average night we should have had more than 4. More to the point, we should have been able to ease off a lot earlier (as in by the 2nd half) meaning we had to still exert to the end. We were a sucker punch off a bad result, and the lads had to exert for longer than we should have.

That's part of the reason I wouldn't be too fussed if we went out of the FA Cup early, the extra games are one thing, but the fact we are rarely able to put games to bed early and rest key players, means that we would have to expend alot of energy in most games from now to the end of the season.

The point about the counter pressing is important. You can always tell when this team is at its best when that’s on song. It’s been so much better this season as has everything really but it makes such a difference to everything we do and the amount of goals it creates.

Players like Curtis Jones are so key to this part and forget about everything else you might think about Nunez he’s also tireless when defending from the front and it is crucial to opening up teams that come and sit deep. Remember his defensive everts against Villa.

I feel the same. The quality of chances did not feel as convincing, despite our poor finishing. The four goals were fine but other than those we didn't see any absolute sitters missed. Not even that Trent chance off the penalty.
