Fulham looked well beaten in the end, and tired. Just don't give them any encouragement in the second leg and we should be fine. An easy walk over was always over-optimistic.

Credit to Fulham that’s the second game at Anfield in a short space of time they’ve made it very difficult. Sometimes you have teams that seem to know how to play against you no matter where they are in the league.

But Klopp is having a season for changes. Noticed Gomez was inverting in the second half unlike the first and the two subs made a huge difference. I like Elliot but he just doesn’t have the pace to play out wide in our system, much better in midfield. And as others have said Bradley really grew into that game. No issues defensively but was a bit tentative going forward but once he backed himself he looked dangerous.

I thought he did really well too, although I'm pleased for Jones with him MOTM.

What we've just seen though is the difference drop-off between our second string and City's. It's quite a gap.

Gakpo's finish was so good. Tucking away a spinning ball, his ability to get into just the right spot, to see where the ball was going to go. High hopes for him. Just wish he was a little faster.
