Thanjk you.

Watched the game. They mentioned only twice has a team had more points at this stage. Both times it was Pep with Bayern. For a guy in his first full season with a team like Leverkusen it’s seriously impressive.
Sepp van den Berg played for Mainz in the game. Looked very good and was one of their best. Hopefully his potential new boss liked what he saw.
[Sacha Tavolieri] Xabi Alonso more and more close to Liverpool FC…. The Spanish coach has made clear his mind after several talks between his entourage & #LFC board. Even if #FCBayern’s pushing, it seems less likely that the trainer of #Bayer04 will continue one more year in #Bundesliga !
I know he was good on the updates with Lavia not sure what he’s like with non Belgium stuff but hopefully it’s right.

I did a big cull of Twitter post summer transfer window, the Caicedo thing left me questioning my sanity as I was so wound up in it. I stopped following all the aggregators and spoofers - he is firmly in the spoofer category
[Falk and Hesse] Our Story: Liverpool has now made a request to the agent of Xabi Alonso, Iñaki Ibáñez The bosses of Leverkusen were informed directly The club is still confident that Alonso will reject the offer of Liverpool Alonso has a contract til 2026
Don’t know how reliable these two are but saw someone saying Hesse is reliable but Falk not so.
Not sure whether they really know anything or if it's BS. Either way it's a bit of a non story as Leverkusen are always going to say they expect Alonso to be there next season until they publicly announce a departure (if one were to happen).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Is it possible though that Edwards would rather have Amorim? No emotional connection so easier to sack, data seems to make him a better fit, Sporting are maybe using the academy more etc?
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
I've actually had a beer with Xabi and Case. Xabi absolutely has an aura about him. He's quiet but extremely confident and loves football. In fact he was watching some game I can't even remember what it was, but he was more engaged in that game than our ****e chat most of the time.
He's my clear favourite and it's a hot take but whatever. I've seen the data but that relies on the players and the teams in question as much as the manager. That said clearly that Portuguese fella knows his onions as well.
It's a big call. I'd be inclined to go all in with Xabi but surely FSG already know if it's a goer or not.
Bumped into him in the docks when he played for us. So many years ago.
That’s awesome. Remember reading somewhere about what a down to earth guy he is, living in the city centre and preferring to visit student bars vs posh establishments for a drink
And then the fact that his missus worked at a hotel in the city just further confirms that
