Yep.

Carlo just signed a new contract so I doubt he’s leaving & it’d be a huge slap in the face if he joined the opposition straight after depriving them of the title. And that’s why it makes perfect sense to join us. I think secretly we tapped him up & got a good response before Jurgen & his entourage announced they are all leaving a year early.
PS. You know it makes sense so stay away Kenneth

The main reason I dont see Bayern is that if (as is likely) he wins the league with Leverkusen, going on to do it with Bayern is way less impressive.
Its like playing a game in expert mode for one season and winning and then going on to play the same game in cheat mode the following year.
Plus, I get no 'Judas *******' vibes from Xabi.Modifying post.

Absolutely. I just don't see Xabi going to Bayern for an easy gig. He will want to test himself and win titles in a different league.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

All this stuff going around is just clickbait, no-one outside the parties involved knows ****. You only have to at what happened after Klopp's announcement, none of them knew about it, but within a couple of days there were ITKs claiming they knew who we had spoken to about his replacement, BS it's all speculation. We are a particular target for it because there is slot of interest in any LFC story. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We’re not really the target in this latest update though. There’s an overlap of course because we’re also linked with Alonso, but this is more Bayern centric and coming from Sky Germany.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostAll this stuff going around is just clickbait, no-one outside the parties involved knows ****. Well no obviously not regarding Bayern, it was more that the Liverpool job could also be viewed as an easier one with the players klopp is leaving and his connection to the club/city. I think the most likely outcome though is Leverkusen win the Bundesliga and he stays to have a crack at the champions league.Originally posted by Pablo View PostYou don't have to be smart to see Bayern is an easy gig. Guaranteed title pretty much.
On the flipside though they do burn through managers pretty fast. Liverpool could be viewed as a more stable job, where he will be given time to get things right?
Very hard to know what he's thinking and Bayern do always seem to get their man I'm afraid!Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Maybe so, but we won't wait on him as we will push ahead with someone else.Originally posted by Corndog View PostWell no obviously not regarding Bayern, it was more that the Liverpool job could also be viewed as an easier one with the players klopp is leaving and his connection to the club/city. The 2nd favourite, Amorim, is now linked with the Barca job & I can see him taking it due to closer proximity to Lisbon if he doesn't want to uproot his family too much.Last edited by Angryred; 05-03-24, 07:36 PM.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Tbh the more I get to know about Ruben Amorim the more I’m moved towards him as my favourite, seems to have more of the ‘Liverpool way’ about him, excellent man management, exciting counter pressing football and big into the culture. He seems less of a risk also. Would be happy with either but if we miss out on Xabi I’d be more than happy with Amorim.
