I'd almost prefer Amorim too as I know nothing about him so if he failed I wouldn't be as gutted as I would be if Xabi came in and failed.I like to think of this as nuanced pessimism.

Fair point - But then you get Pep G - Did Bayern and City - Unlimited funds and wiped out domestic success as accepted- Only last season got a CL out of Barca.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI'm of the opposite view - I don't think you can overstate just how much self-belief these guys have. Xabi will back himself big time. Whether he comes or not is a different issue, but I don't think it'd be down to him not wanting to follow Klopp.
For me, he's one that took a safe route , but again you can't ague he's backed himself with that cash !I make no apologies, this is me

At this stage, I’d rather xabi over anyone even if he wasn’t a former pro with a connection to LFC.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostTbh the more I get to know about Ruben Amorim the more I’m moved towards him as my favourite, seems to have more of the ‘Liverpool way’ about him, excellent man management, exciting counter pressing football and big into the culture. He seems less of a risk also. Would be happy with either but if we miss out on Xabi I’d be more than happy with Amorim.
Barring a late disaster this season, what he is doing with Leverkusen is phenomenal.
Yes there were a few good players he inherited and Wirtz is nailed on to be world class but outside of that he’s breaking records and doing something that only the likes of Klopp have been able to do in the last 10 years and by some margin.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Arne Slot?Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostThere will be lots of competition, turns out this is the worst timing for Klopp to leave. Bayern and Barca now in the mix, maybe Chelsea and United too.
Besides Xabi, Zerbi and Amorim, who else might be interesting?_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!
