    Never wanted him anyway

Get the feeling it’s now or never with Alonso. Looking like never at the moment.

Bit of a disastrous start for Amorin. Massive sense of underwhelming and not even anyone’s second choice given how fixated we’ve been on Xabi. Will need to win his first few games.

          How come? He’s only 42.

Amorim and Xabi seem to be the clear top 2 favourites among fans. Xabi with the majority for obvious reasons, but the general consensus seems to be we'd be happy with either. And of course, there are plenty who prefer Amorin as 1st choice too.

Briefings are all out of Bayern, and their fave journo's, same thing happens in Spain.

Gambling on the man after Klopp failing and he can come in and save the day

Gotta say all these big public targets of ours consistently deciding to go elsewhere is starting to look kinda bad, and it's quite ****in annoying.

It's probably smart for Xabi not to come here, trying to replace Klopp is almost an , seem to be much smarter options imo. It was always going to be a bit of a disaster when Jurgen left unfortunately.

Alonso seems like a very clever guy and I have no doubt hrs weighing up all aspects before making his decision. He’s still very young and feasibly has 15+ years of management ahead of him

Right now he has never managed in the CL and clearly they are going to qualify so he can test himself there as well. I admire his loyalty and his sticking to his plan. He had suggested that he’d like to manage all his ex clubs and the Madrid job will be available next summer and perhaps even City if he was tempted to go that way.

Personally, I don’t think the coming in after Klopp bothers him much but that’s just my opinion. Now we need to find the next best fit and go from there

Damn, really sucks if true, saw Balague say though that nothing was decided. If Amorim turns us down as well, where do we go? What options are there? Inzaghi? Zerbi isn't doing it for me honestly.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Really? I haven’t met a single one. Maybe the odd football hipster but I don’t think fans know anything about him otherwise. He’s a very distant second so it looks like there will be a lot of disappointment. Big step down from Klopp

Anyone is a step down from Klopp. Amorim and Alonso are the 2 names that most seem happy with, so he's not a distant second. You don't need to be a hipster to be aware of Amorim either.
