I can't really remember a chance of note in 2nd half. I wasn't expecting us to go through but was hoping for a good performance and confidence boost that we could at least get a couple of goals. Performance was awful again and we only scored from penalty.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think the players think the season is lost and there’s little to be gained by running themselves into the ground to win favour of a manager who only has a few games left.

The tie was an embarrassment and we look a team that’s cooked. I genuinely think we need fresh ideas and Klopp ones it was the right time to go - the way the season is winding up it seems he was right

We win tonight (not embarrassing (:haha) but looked flat and devoid of a tactical plan. We d not scored a goal from open play in 4 games I saw? I said it at the time that I was excited to see what a new manager would bring and I stand by that.

I love Klopp but it’s time for him to go

But it's the lack of effort that has lost the season? A few weeks ago we were right in it. I honestly think we've lost rhythm by bringing back starters too early, and too many. From injury, I mean.
          Really?

Just purely as a spectator, we were horrific to watch there especially in the second half. That playing around at the back with Allison giving some weird illusion of a high attacking line was actually kind of embarrassing as we still just fackin launched it and Atalanta looked so comfortable dealing with us.

yeah agreed probably is time for new blood, new ideas and a bit of a rebuild.

The lack of any urgency in recent games is the worry. They are playing the ball around like they are managing games they’re winning while they need to score. Where has the pace and aggression gone?

We were a better team when we had lots of injuries and the youngsters were playing

Second half was utter madness - might as well have stuck Virgil up too with 25 to go and just launch it up and fight for the second ball.

All this sideways passing in defence with Atalanta smothering us was ridiculous- great tactics from then and great energy levels.

They smothered us second half exactly like the first leg. They have had the upper hand tactically over the 180 mins.

Too many first team players being thrust into it before they could handle 90 mins - hence the intensity has fallen.

Only one English club into a euro semi-final. Best league in the world…

Maybe, just maybe the powers at be might look at the number of games the players play and try and do something about it… doubt it.

Looking at City's energy levels yesterday vs us tonight, it doesn't bode well for the run in. With the exception of TAA the whole team looks tired/rusty. Second best in individual battles (Donate especially bad). Attack completely impotent. Not sure what's causing that as some should be fresh after spells out with injury. Hopefully with Jota getting more minutes tonight he can start at the weekend.

Gasperini had the tactics spot on and got the better of Klopp in both legs.

Same here. A modern legend but he's done now.
