The value in what we did early in the data stuff was picking up players who were flying somewhat under the radar, they were decent players but not seen as world class (Salah, Mane, Robertson...) Last summer Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike weren't exactly subtle in that regard. While the data works, we need people with fight, desire, determination etc, the data doesn't tell you that

Hope Edwards goes as well tbh, I don't think you should put so much data emphasis on hiring the head coach/manager.
Communication, leadership and adaptability is hard to measure, Xabi would have gotten most if not all the fans on board instantly, someone like Nagelsman or Hoeness will not IMO, huge doubts over both of them, Hoeness has not won anything nor managed big players.

Carra with some truth. He did get into Slot a bit right at the start of the season about how the team was setup and I think most of us dismissed it as it was a new season with new players.
This has been happening from the first day of the season on a Friday night against Bournemouth.
Liverpool have far too many weak players, physically and mentally, and it has to be fixed. It looks like Arne Slot is going to be the man who has to fix it next season.
But this result does nothing in terms of the feelings of the supporters around his
position right now. Liverpool don't excel at anything. They look like a really average team. They have been taken to the cleaners.
New players won’t fix this if anything I feel it’s going to get worse because the more time he is here the more exposed we are to his inadequacies. What kind of reactions are we going to get from the players if he’s still around next year doing the same thing that’s not worked this year.

Was just thinking, imagine Slot dropped Salah on his last game for us because he's arsey about that tweet.

Yeah think he is the only as close as it gets to a sure fire thing out there at present. Pretty much any other manager or coach name we could throw out would come with varying degrees of risk.
Be stunned if we got Enrique as he would be a signing on the level of when we got Klopp in.
But it's ok, we have my lowest risk of the other guys in Inzaghi coming in, despite Sus trying to sabotage it.

Imo wishful thinking but yeah it would be a genuinely incredible appointment.Originally posted by Big Dave View PostMaybe once he's won the CL this season, he'll have won everything that he can with PSG and will be ready to move on. No good making any noises before the game in fairness

He'd be the dream manager tbh. Would be incredible if we got him in.

Must get boring cake walking Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France every season.
Plus he’s watched a game from the Kop - he likes us….
For me we need a manager who has won things at the highest level. He has pedigree, not saying it’s him. But it needs to be someone with his profile.
