I'd take David Bellamy over Slot and he's been dead for years

Not sure if this has been posted but good analysis I think of some of our problems. One of them was evident leading to the cross that Harlaand scored from today.

It makes you wonder if last seasons league win was more a Ranieri/Di Matteo type of situation, imo it certainly looks that way. The more time he had been at the club, the worse we have become.
I would say Mo and Ali were the main reasons last season. I give Arne a fair amount of credit for last season as well though, he simplified things and made some excellent in game tweaks that changed the outcome of the game for us. He was a new entity for everyone else and we built up a huge lead.

Then teams started to figure us out, really saw it vs Newcastle in the league cup final and added to his lack of rotation plus low intensity training we started to struggle physically. If we are really honest I think we’ve been pretty bad for just over a year now and he has openly said he finds it hard to play against such tactics.

Now we’ve seen him closer, I actually find his press conferences annoying and his handling of players too brutal. At the start I didn’t mind tough love and honestly but he is looking for excuses and throwing players under the bus. He also has changed his tune a lot to during the narrative - 2 leagues in5 years to 2 in 30….. etc

Lastly, I know he is human and naturally wants to spend time with his family but he’s away a lot (nice tan today again) and leaks suggest a lot of time off. I remember Ferguson saying after losing a CL final that he was plotting from the next day in Carrington, ruthless winner.

He needs to go, I have never seen any manager ever turn such a slump around and go on to be successful again

Should have been gone months ago but **** me just end it FSG, it's torture. Just the toughest fixture in club football next. They will go hell for leather vs us, all it takes is for us to go behind or something to go wrong and we'll crumble.

Slot had broke the spirit of the fanbase and killed the free flowing, high pressing, all action style of play that most of the current crop of players excelled at and what clicked throughout the support...into a mentally frail, meek, passionless bang average and easy to play against side. It's genuinely incredible what has happened. It makes you wonder if last seasons league win was more a Ranieri/Di Matteo type of situation, imo it certainly looks that way. The more time he has been at the club, the worse we have become.

All the things that made the club one of the best again is being taken away.

The attitude that they can beat anyone and go out to win every game.
The belief that they are never beaten and will keep going no matter what.
The aggressive approach to go and dominate teams and work harder and smarter than them.
The connection between the players, manager and the fans.
That no one deserves to be picked based on anything other than the current level of their performance and attitude.
That we are one of the fittest teams out there and can keep playing till the very last second.

Yeh, I think that is a story in its own right. I don't get that and it's probably a root (route?) cause of our stagnation.

He doesnt make any in game tactical changes.

Salah getting a free ride must piss the rest of the team off, wondering why they have to play with ten men and salah gets a golden ticket.
Maybe that the start of them not really believing in slot anymore.

Only time I've ever not bothered to watch us is when hodgson was manager.
