I can only presume he and his team want us to be so painfully dull to watch in the name of control. The constant sideways and backwards passes. Everything going central. All very predictable. I just don't get it.

The thing that perplexes me is that we clearly began to look leggy in midfield last 15-20. Stick Nyoni on. Give him a chance. Slot waited until 100 Mins and then obvs it was just to waste time. I don’t know what it does to a player to see others cramping and looking knackered and you are left on the bench.

It’s been Arnes Achilles heel since he began he doesn’t trust players and therefore doesn’t build depth.

Yeah there's very much several players in the squad that he genuinely does not trust. The turgid side to side football is really painful to watch and easy to play against. We really need to cut that out as it's pretty obvious that it is not we are not in control.

After two games trying something different and getting results he goes straight back to the usual **** side to side boring football.

The players don't move. It's weird to watch
There's some pressing, not like Klopp days but it's more when we have possession. The players don't make runs so the defenders have nowhere to pass to. We also hold onto the ball far too long, again possibly as a result of others not making space for themselves

Near the end of the game tottenhams keeper was moving forward to kick a long ball into our box in hopes of creating something. Our entire team kept moving backwards and refused to close him down. The interesting thing was Slot was yelling at them repeatedly to close him down.
