He'll last until the summer. The question is whether or not the matter is already settled or whether he can change minds.
    Really?

And whether we intend on replacing a number of underperforming senior players with quality replacements.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Love Klopp, but he was not ruthless in that regard at all. The opposite in fact.

His Achilles heel was his loyalty to his trusted players long beyond the point they should have been replaced.

The midfield rebuild of 2023 was at least 2 years overdue.

I was of the opinion that he would stay until summer unless it looks like we will fail to qualify for next season's CL. We have got 21 point from the last 18 games, that's 1.16 points per game, Top 4 typically needs you to get around the 2 pts per game mark. The 5/5 are doing some serious heavy lifting in our league position

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Who are we counting as the old guard here? Salah, VVD and Alisson are the only ones playing regularly, Robertson and Gomez are squad players struggling to think of anyone else. Alisson, VVD and Salah were great last season. Robbo's form/consistency started to drop off and he was replaced, I don't think anyone expected Salah's drop off to be so sharp and so fast, my view with their renewals was that we should have brought their replacements in this summer just gone and been bedding them in while those guys were being phased out. VVD has been great for us playing 2-3 times a week for years but age is catching up with him,I think we should be doing with him what we were doing with Hyypia in 2005, and maximising his performances by allowing him to have breaks maybe only playing once a week. But we didn't bring in appropriate players. For me a large part of this comes down to recruitment or lack of it.

He cant compete with the **** teams though. We just look awful a lot of the time.

We ate playing titally different and there are too many spaces. He has to adapt the team to the players he has.

I dont think he knows how to get the best out of the team as it is

                      I feel sorry for Slot.

I really don’t understand the business we did in the summer. I said at the time I though Isak was unnecessary

We blew £140m on a striker who doesn’t suit our style of play, and is injury prone. We have **** all center backs, and no wingers. Meanwhile we have **** all center backs, and no wingers.

                      Hughes should go.

Unfortunately Slit probably has to go as well now.

I'd be interested to know where the balance of power between Slot and Hughes lies, because on the face of it Slot has a say in transfers. Surely he has to say you aren't giving me enough wide players or CBs for the squad balance or whatever. Or is Hughes overruling him or what?

I like the players we signed in the summer, I think they are all good players but am not sure what system they were bought for and there I lines the problem. 3 central attacking players (Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike) seems to have unbalanced things. I can see the logic for all of them individually, if you had said we wanted a more direct CF threat effectively swapping Nunez for Isak (position wise) makes sense, similarly Ekitike as 'backup' to allow us to always play that way (given the loss of Jota also makes sense. One of those two with Diaz to the left and Salah to the right looks a good attack. Similarly I can see that we think we want more creativity so the Wirtz signing makes sense in principle, but how you accommodate them all I don't know, but also getting rid of your creative wide player and playing three narrow and somewhat selfish forwards poses something of a problem. Slot tends to like playing with good wide players so why the change?

The comment about Kerkez and Ekitike being in the red zone has really pissed me off with the squad depth. Yesterday we had the starting 11 plus 3 subs that he trusted and two others he was forced to make. We didn't start our only fit CF because he was in the red zone fitness wise and we took Kerkez off for the same reason. We ended up with 2 midfielders in the back 4 and a guy who we are expecting to move on this window. The injury situation isn't going to get much better, Isak, Bradley and Leoni are all moreor less done for the season, Gomez will come back from injury but will pick up more, Chiesa will be back but barely plays anyway, we are only half way through the season and we are seriously worried about players in the red zone, that too is unlikely to get better only worse, and we are playing **** at the best of times, no way we are making top 4 this season unless something dramatic happens.

Whoever is on the transfer committee or whatever the **** we are calling it has some serious questions to answer as they have really ****ed up our squad building. You can argue that it was a 2 year plan or whatever but we don't make CL this season and it becomes a hell of alot harder. Really am pissed off about this.

We conceded while Gomez was off the field and we were down to ten men. Slot had clearly told the team to kick the ball out to allow the substitution, but apparently Alisson and Van Dijk made a ‘ongield decision’ and chose to keep the ball in play and we paid the price. That absolves Slot of direct blame for that goal, but it also exposes a bigger problem: if players are ignoring him in key moments, then his control and authority are lacking. Either way, I don’t like it.
