Sounds like if thats true then Alonso wont be coming till new season. We're stuck with slot till end or we get rid and gerrard probably comes in. I dont want gerrard but if we were to get him it would mean slots gone and alonso is certainly coming so I'll suffer gerrard. Cant be worse than now. I'm sure he can manage 6 wins in 4 months to beat slots 5 in similar time.

In the last 4 games we have dropped nine points against so called weaker teams. If we had won these games we would be 5 points behind Arsenal.

During this time our new players have been playing well.

Energy levels seem mow and motivation lower and there appears to be some discontentment in the team.
W appear to be vulnerable to an the low block applied in the premiership by many teams against us. We jave the occasional good result when teams try to attach us and leave themselves open.(in europe)

Waiting to the end of the season, even if that is Alonso's preference, is dangerous. Someone more attractive may become available, we need to tie him down now.

Careful what you say. Other than at Rangers, Gerrard has been utter muck as a manager.

Was totally out of his depth at Villa and by all accounts really poor in Suadi Arabia as well.
