Would imagine it would take a 150k a week or better wage to get him along with a 70 or 80m fee. Hell of a lot for a 21 yo that looks really promising.

Does stack up stat wise with the much older Mitoma in terms of on the ball numbers.

Think if I was looking abroad for a similar aged winger that can play on either flank or through the centre then someone like Xavi Simons would be more on my radar. Just seems to have a lot more end product already and has shown he can move to another leage and still put up good numbers.

The guy I would love to have a crystal ball to see how good he might get is Barcola at PSG.

He looks like he has the engine and work rate of someone like a young Kuyt and works back like Kuyt did, but going forward he has real pace and can also go at packed back lines with his dribbling. Plays a hell of a lot like Vini Jr did just before he turned into a goal machine albeit a much taller and more lanky Vini jr.
Xavi Simon’s would be unreal but haven’t PSG got an option on him or they bought him back and loaned him out or something?

Barcola does indeed also look good

Simons is a PSG player. Just at Leipzig on loan.

Was kinda thinking in my Fifa24 way that should PSG want Salah, well Simons or Barcola coming our way would not be half bad.

Not like PSG could not afford to offload a few pacy attackers as they have loads of them it seems.

      Mbappe
      Muani
      Asensio
      Dembele
      Barcola
      Simons
      Ramos

I’ve seen plenty of people talk about Xavi Simons and saw him play against Madrid earlier in the champions league. He looked brilliant in that game. I’ve seen people mention his injury record but he seems to have played plenty over the last two seasons.

Anyone we look to sign I’m hoping we target healthy players who have great injury records. Slot does have a reputation for keeping players healthy which is a good start. Hopefully if that’s true his methods can help players like Konate and Jota stay consistently fit.

Koopmeiners seems to be getting heavily linked. Depending on Nunez/Salad leaving that might be our magor summer buy.

I think Salah will be off to Saudi and I don’t think psg will let Simons go with mbappe leaving. Ramos could go too.

He’s not what we need tbh - we’ve enough 8s in the squad now. I think it’s lazy journalists or his agent, I’d be very surprised if we went after him

Yeah, that's a weird one, surely we're looking some defensive mids, CB's and attackers if there are any outgoings upfront.
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Slot might well have his work cut out for him.

Gone from thinking he has a very solid base to build from to thinking he has plenty of bottlers and Billy Big Boots amongst the senior playing core.

The three big names going into their final 12 months best not be looking for pay rises if any of them want an extension.

Hell if we sold two of them I really would not give a toss as they all still would fetch big fees and some hungry younger players that may not be quite as talented but more inclined to fight hard on the pitch could be brought in.

its funny how right on the edge we are. On the one hand, our best players have peaked and we have some of them with only 12 months left ln their deals which will be a risk.

On the other hand, we have loads of class young players that are only going to get better and better. And apparently have even more talent waiting in the wings below as well with Maynor Figueroras young fella supposedly being a potential worldie. Doak too should come back and also Bajcetic.

I think in the main, the signings under Klopps tenure have been really brilliant. If that was to continue then i think we have a potentially brilliant side over the next few years with only 3 or 4.good signings. Hopefully Slot has already agreed one or two key additions for this summer.

I think if Salah and Trent want to leave this summer (haven't included VVD in that as he has come out and said he is keen to be here) then so be it and as long as it gets done and dusted early in the summer then that will be fine. If it drags out then that's not great as the new manager will want to work with a settled squad etc. Especially as all of the coaching staff are new too.

It will be interesting to see his dynamic with the players. Klopp was the hugger but there was no ****ing about either as Sakho found out.

I would also like to see him prioritise the league next season. **** the Carabao and even FA cups to be honest. Leicester won the league that time because they got lucky with injuries and went out of both cups..... And essentially rode the wave. I think Arsenal have benefited from going out of both domestic cups early this season and those mini breaks that they had in dubai on the winter have helped them big time. I think for Slot to give himself the best chance possible, then he should rotate heavily for the cup competitions.

How much for 1 minute 24 seconds of your time?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

You are too ugly and too poor to afford me.

Might I suggest Newcastle city centre about 4am on a Saturday night as being more your level.

I think Edwards will be all over this and will be ruthless. He has been brilliant at finding and focusing on value for money. Imo some ageing big earners will be out and we'll get in some young hungry talent. We have got the best out of every one of those big earners & maybe it's time to cash in & look to the future. I kinda think we need it to be honest & the only one that I would worry about losing is Alisson.

Figueroa's son is going to play a Keyrol in the future of the club.
