If the whole season ends and we are still here then there are questions over him. We knew he was a fitness project given his past and I didn't expect much from him by now, citing the examples you've given.

No point in bringing him to London if we can get extra sessions into him. We have an unbelievably good forward line and if Elliott is struggling to get back in you can see how an outsider to the league would as well.

That said, I expect him to play against Spurs and Accrington S.

I think that the rehabilitation/fitness process is much longer than most outside of the club were expecting. So I am not really surprised he hasn't played much yet, I would expect him to play more as the season progresses, without becoming a regular. with the hope that he stays injury free and next season can be regularly involved

He is coming back from a massive injury, he hadn’t played football for a long time, some setbacks are expected. It looks to me he needs to build up whole body strength and conditioning, so the timeframe is not surprising. I’d doubt it’s anything more than that. He will play a role in the final third of the season and I’m sure he will still be here next season.

The acl injury was 3 years ago.
He returned from the injury over 2 years ago.

He made over 30 starts last season for club and Country.
He only missed 5 or 6 games all season.

Played 4 games and 3 starts at Euro 24 in the summer we signed him.

All true but equally he had no pre season, moved to the most intense league in the world and into the most competitive team. Right now he’s not worth a place on the bench, I hope/assume it’s still a fitness thing…. if he’s not involved vs Accrington Stanley then there’s more to this

Yes but he’s been having his own individual pre season for months now, according to Slot.

He was a regular for Juventus and Italy last season. The step up isn’t that dramatic. It’s not like he’s come from some District Sunday League

I was so optimistic when I saw how happy he looked when he signed. I was equally un optimistic from his League Cup performance vs Southampton, he looked so unhappy to have to play in wind and rain

It’s hard to know how this will go, we don’t “need” him and would get our money back from a sales perspective. It felt like a free hit and still does but he needs to buck up and impress in training

We're top of two leagues and in all the other competitions. I don't know what the issue is. He's getting his fitness up. With all 6 attackers plus Elliot fit, some will miss out on the bench. You couldn't possibly put chiesa in for jota or nunez right now. We have cup games and Europe to come. He looked decent in his cameo versus Southampton. There's a player there. I just think with salahs form he doesn't really get a look in even at his best. He's part of the squad and he hasn't been required much. Like Nunez not scoring, it doesn't really matter right now. All is good. In fact I doubt even with every place in the squad filled by the world's best we'd be able to top slots results so far. This is simply as good as it ever gets. Relax. No need to give any players grief. Not robbo, not nunez, not quansah nor chiesa.
