I expect the same treatment of Ramsey too now. By all accounts he looked good at RB. He'll never be seen in a red shirt again though because Slots got some weird gripe with players that were injured when he started here.
I don't disagree & yeah Slot clearly does not rate him.. same as Endo even though you at least will get effort and fight from both. I have no doubts neither will not start vs Villa & we will see the same under performing players starting.

Tragic waste of a player if that happens. Hope he stays.

Can't let them go without replacing thrm, yet money will be scarce
            after getting a centre-back.

Unless we need to raise cash vecause Elliott is coming back and therefore not a nailed on sale.

His treatment by Slot is actually quite disgusting and (other than the slow, boring football we play) a large part of why I really hope he gets the sack soon

No, at least, not for me. I wouldn't want my manager sacked because he doesn't rate one our players as highly as I do. I'm not, after all, a Spurs fan.

His continual, stubborn selection of apparent favourites when things obviously aren't working? That certainly is a bad sign and one worth making us consider his future for. His apparently poor judgement with respect to using Wirtz, Isak and Ekitike and some of his man-management shortcomings, which have become more obvious, as time has progressed? Certainly adds more wood behind that particular arrow.

The win against West Ham was fun but I still think he's cooked.

I should've added, this is a general thing. Not isolated to Chiesa like my post makes it seem. Fede has just been the most obvious example.

I am not too sure to be honest. If Chiesa leaves and does amazing somewhere else in the premier league, then you will be proved right. I just think there must be something else..... otherwise the sporting director and other football administrators would be intervening. I reckon his pace is gone and it's no surprise that impacts he makes seem to be in the box as opposed to in wide positions.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in January window - because we go and bring someone like Semenyo in instead.

You might be right, of course, as we only have eyeballs during games to make our assessments and the staff have more to go on. I don't see a lack of pace or physicality from Chiesa in the small cameos (and few starts) he has contributed thus far.

I also think Semenyo is having a purple patch in terms of G/A and is generally overrated.

A purple patch that seems to have ended. He is without a goal since 3rd October and without an assist since 16th October.

That would be four or five games.

Looking at Bournemouth's ststs did remind me of something that I had forgotten about. We got 25 million from them for Ben Doak in the summer.

I also did not know Doak goes by the surname of Gannon-Doak now and that is what is on the back of his Bournemouth top. Something to do with wanting to have the surnames of both parents on his back.

Bournemouth as a team in general have struggled after a really good start when Semenyo was dragging them through. We are seeing a decline because their defence got ripped apart during the summer and they are struggling in that respect. Also, attack wise Kluivert was a huge player for them last season too and his goals and assists have fell off a cliff. Semenyo's production has declined for sure & he was massively out peforming his xg but it's just 5 league games in which he hasn't returned & as a team in general they have been ****... maybe he wants out and a move to LFC is in his mind.

As for Chiesa, on the one hand I do think he hasn't got a fair shake at all(he definitely hasn't) & he has always showed a great attitude/put in a shift when he's came on but I also think.. lets not pretend he's a amazing player either. In saying that, he would be perfectly within his rights in wanting out in fairness as Slot doesn't seem to rate him at all... same with Endo. Both have been massively over looked.

The problem for me is we can't see how good he could be for us, as he hasn't got a run of games.

His pace might be gone (perhaps) but he still has incredible technique, is two footed, physical enough to win his battles, and the engine (this season at least) to run hard for a full 90+ minutes

He also makes things happen when he comes on (which someone said earlier) so without knowing what goes on at training, it seems crazy that he hasn't got more of a run this season

It's not like any of our attackers are ripping it up this seasin

With regards to Semenyo... yes it is only five games without any end product , but could also say his amazing run of form was only seven or so games long.

Is difficult to know if he has another level or two to go up and be what we need, or if his level is similar to or lower than a similar ages player in Gakpo.

Gakpo generally putting up better numbers in terms of G + A over the past five to six season, and putting up better chance creation numbers in that time.

Semenyo may well be a better player than Gakpo. One that brings a more direct fast and physical threat. But for 65m or 75m, whatever the real release clause is, I would want more than a guy that might be better than Gakpo in terms of what he brings himself in terms of threat and what he brings to the team unit in terms of knitting things together.

For me I would prefer to be more looking at who we can bring in on the right flank with that money and have that new threat on the right with a tried and tested player in Gakpo on the left, than to be replacing Gakpo on the left with a guy that may be far better than Gakpo or that may be on the same level and all the while still needing to make a big change on the right.

Of course that is just talking attackers. If we have money to spend in January, my overall preference is for the CB position to be what we look to reinforce first and foremost.

As to Chiesa and whether or not he is an amazing player. I don't think that is the question to be asking about him right now. I think a better question would be to ask is does Chiesa, based on what we have seen from him this season, look a player that would make us a better team were he to get a serious increase in the amount of minutes he gets on the pitch?

For me the answer to that is a yes.

Sure we could upgrade upon him in the future, but right now I think him playing more, be it as a starter or a sub, would add more threat to our attack and add more work rate off the ball.

Semenyo can cover right left and centre.
