Real at home will be a belter.

      Jude, Mbappe etc etc etc.

Surely we will beat them again one of these days?

        City’s draw:

Inter Milan (home), PSG (away), Holy Cross Secondary 3rd XI (home), Juventus (away), Feyenoord (home), Tynemouth under 14’s (away), Sparta Prague (home), Dog and Duck over 50’s XI (away).

Hmmm depends- if we’re playing Madrid in December, when there 2/3 games left in the group/league stage, we might be seeing the reserves for both teams. When we have 2 games a week, I feel like a slip up in CL will be far less costly than a slip up in the PL.
          I don't tip

Not too bad. No long trips

TBH - Madrid and Bayer both at home are the Banana skins - I think we got off lightly ?

No idea to be honest, the first 4 look like tricky games, I guess it depend how everyone approaches it, complicated by not everyone we play having to play against each other but also competing against teams that you don't play. I guess you are probably looking at something around 15 points minimum to automatically qualify, so probably need to either win 4 and draw 3 of the other 4 or get 5 wins.

I'd be OK playing some second XIs and finishing outside the top 8. We'd be seeded in the extra qualifier game so should get through that anyway with our first team. It also means some of our first XI gets well timed breaks to concentrate on the league.

Absolutely expected madrid to be our first game. I'd also put money that these fixtures are purposely selected to make them seem more exciting for the new format.

The order of the fixtures is released tomorrow - that’s just the order they drew them

Not ideal that some of the group stage games will be played in January. That month is usually busy enough in terms of fixtures with the FA cup being added to the mix, so two extra games that month is not ideal.

Just seen the league table for the CL and it just looks so silly with 36 teams in one league table.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

We play AC Milan first. A decent first game I think.

                                Ah ok.

                                Player List A
Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Chiesa, Diaz, Endo, Gakpo, Gomez, Gravenberch, Hill, Jaros, Jones, Jota, Kelleher, Konate, Mac Allister, Morton, Nallo, Nunez, Nyoni, Robertson, Salah, Szoboszlai, Tsimikas, Van Dijk.

Teams can name a maximum of 25 players on List A, including a minimum of eight places reserved exclusively for ‘locally trained players’.

Several members of the Reds’ senior squad – including Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah – are eligible but do not need to be included on List A due to their ages and club-trained status.

They can instead be named to List B, on which clubs can register an unlimited number of players during the season and update before each fixture.
