Ibou claiming he’s ready to go is a bonus but I’d still not take a risk in this one & leave him on the bench.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Yep, play Gomez and Quansah in this one. Whether that is Gomez at CB or RB, I think his performance against BHA warrants a start.

Could also go with Gomez at LB and give Bradley a run at RB.

Have to say we have some serious quality in depth for the back four when everyone is available.

Completely agree that Gomez's performance warrants a start, but I wonder if there needs to be a senior CB on the pitch alongside, whether that's VVD or Konate?

I think Ibou will start. Pretty sure that when he came of the pitch with his hand wrapped in his top, there was spots of blood showing through, so my guess is VVD's studs cut the had and it was just a precautionary check to ascertain if the damage was just superficial or not.

If we are going to rest a member of the defence, maybe it will be Virg or Trent, but with this game being on Tuesday and we next play Saturday at 8, i think we go as strong as possible for both games.

Will be good to see how we deal with Palacios, statistically he’s one of the best ‘controlling’ CDMs in the top leagues. Shame he’s so injury prone or he could have been an ideal target for us.

Interesting game, might be a bit spicy. Good side and a tricky fixture. Looking forward to seeing Xabi back at Anfield, he ll get a great reception as all our legends do. In saying that, hopefully we smash them and he leaves with his tail between his legs.

Gives us a window to look at their star players though.

Yeah they are a good side to watch, have some talent in their squad.

I love the Tsimikas pic - "yeh you think I'm just a sub, right...?"
                      Really?

I still hate the kit though. Still looks like it was made in a home - economics class from previous season cast offs.

What does Gomez have to do to get a start??

And has anyone got a good stream for this one?

He has to excel in a particular position rather than just being decent across the back four, imo

A few have been saying for a while that Robbo's past his best, it's a brave manager to think that Tsimikas is better than Robbo at 70% though

Think it is more a case of Tsimi being in really good form and maybe being a bit underrated by some.

Don't think it should be a case of he is better than a 70% Robertson or whatever. More a case of he is performing well when started and getting more starts as a result of that.
