Forest away Tuesday 14th January 8pm

Players should be well rested for this one , not sure how strong Forest went in the Cup match yesterday?

Having Dom back is huge as was evident in his 45 mins last night, albeit against weak opposition .

Not sure who starts at RB ? Everything else seems quite easy to pick for me.

    Ali

    Trent Ibou Virg Robbo

    Dom Grav Macca

    Mo Diaz Gakpo
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

The only player that could come in would be Jota, thought he looked really lively today, but considering who was rested and how long he played the team pretty much picks itself.

Like you said having Dom back will be massive he’s become so integral to how the team goes. Drives that press and lifts the energy in midfield and attack. I wonder if that’s why Jota played that role today rather than Elliot. He’s similar in his drive and workrate. Similar to Diaz going central could it be a positional change for Jota?

The bench should be the real strength on Tuesday. Options all over the pitch to change things if needed.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Big game. Looking at Forests form they’ve typically been rolled over by the likes of Arsenal, City, Newcastle their success has been in not dropping points against the rest.

We will (and I am sure we are) need to take this on as a top level match, it’s an evening KO under the lights away so they will be up for it and their fans will be dreaming.

A win though and we move 9 clear with a game in hand and Arsenal to host Spurs Weds.

          Exciting times.

IT'll be the same as home game, they will suck up all the pressure & try to hit on the break.

Reckon Slot will be up for this one hahhahaha

Hard to make that out but was it a strong lineup or rested players?

Their likely team against us will be:

                Sels (rested)
                Aina (rested)
                Milenkovic (rested)
                Murillo (rested)
                Williams (rested)
                Yates (played 74 mins)
                Anderson (rested)
                Elanga (played last 20 mins)
                Gibbs-White (rested)
                Hudson-Odoi (played last 20 mins)

We will have nearly all the ball. They just want to play in the opponents box. It's working so well for them. It's refreshing tbh. Rather than another team that just wants to pass the ball all day for passing sake.

Forest are going to have a great season if their players stay fit.

This is tough for us. A long range shot may be required because we won't go round them and it's going to be congested through the middle.

The games against Arsenal and City they went 1 nil down early. Newcastle at home they were 1 nil up at HT and went on to lose 1-3. They are beatable.

Agree with whomever said Slot will want this win (I mean obvs he does) as they were the only team to beat him in 2024. He will know we need to be at are very best and most clinical.

For us, the games we’ve dropped points have always been games Dom has missed - so his participation and performance is also critical.

With Nunez suspended I wonder if Danns will get his spot on the bench.

You’d expect Jota & Chiesa to be on the pine with Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Tsimikas, Endo, Jones & Elliot so is there room for anyone else?

That bench is starting to look good. When he’s back who gets left out? One of the defenders or midfielders? If everyone is fit you’d need to leave a few out. And after saying that we’ll pick up another injury or two.

                              Huge huge match.

A win here puts arsenal under pressure. Then at the weekend we get to put them under pressure again with us playing before them
