I would be surprised if Everton aren't charged for the pitch invasion, I think they will look at the Doucoure incident again and I wouldn't be surprised if a few more get caught up in it.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Originally posted by Sus View PostI'm still so ****ing annoyed this morning, more so than any other game this season (even the cluster**** at the end of Newcastle away). Partly due to the ref (that Salah non-foul in injury time is still unbelievable to me) but mainly due to us.
I guess it's because this league title now feels so close, we just need to give Arsenal a little shove (3-4 wins in a row) and we're there.
But we keep letting them off the canvas through our own errorsOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostTo be honest it was what I was expecting in terms of result and performance, with Moyes coming in I thought we'd be dragged down to their level. In these games you need a strong referee and Oliver was ****, I would say he lost control of the game but the truth is he never had control, shocking performance from him, there were some shocking decisions fouls for no contact, no fouls for clear contact, the inconsistency was wild.
I feel we need to better figure out how to play when we have these refereeing performances, getting frustrated is natural but seems to make it worse, but maybe if there wasn't so much complaining we would get even more ****e decisions
I’m still spewing at the result and the way we dropped the points.
We weren’t particularly great - plenty of possession without really testing them barring the two goals - but Oliver’s level of incompetence was something else. No matter how good or bad you play a competent referee should be the minimum of what we should expect. He was embarrassing.

Yep it’s been a long day kicking stones & avoiding talking football with anyone.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He did a Tuchel style handshake, delicate Mike took offense and sent him off. Passive aggressive Pep did it to him before and nothing….. these officials are not corrupt, they are just utterly incompetentOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhat was Slots red card for? Presumably something he said but just seen footage he walks up to Oliver shakes his hand and is sent off, whole interaction lasts about 10 seconds, seems odd would have to be calling him a cheating **** or something in that time, but would be odd to shake his hand and say that. Seeing suggestions Slot was too aggressive with the hand shake

After all he ran to goad opposition supporters after the game had ended and created a scenario that could have incited a very serious situation both inside and outside the ground.
classless cunt. The most hilarious thing is they didn't even win, everything about them is just small time.

2 match ban (2nd because he has already served a 1 match ban for 3 yellow cards), an it's because of something he said
From BBC:
The Premier League's website says Arne Slot will serve a two-match touchline ban following his sending off against Everton.
The Premier League say: "Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was dismissed at the end of the Merseyside derby for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language."The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think Arsenal will comfortably beat Leicester on Sat, so two wins against Wolves and Villa (who I read have only kept 3 clean sheets all season?!) are now needed. Then we can reset for City away the following weekend

From BBC:
Vague response from them as usual. Do think that the actual wording of the "offensive, insulting, or abusive language" should be made public in all cases.
They can always star out letters to avoid delicate sensibilities being offended further.
Of course they will not do that because they would then be open to question when others swear in front of them and no red card follows.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He should be charged with not leaving the field of play when given a red card.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

He almost got involved in the TNT post-match interview, too. Only Bluenose Jagielka thought better of it in the moment or was told by the producers to give him a swerve. We are here for a good time not a long time....

That the post match reports are not public is another layer of ambiguity that they constantly hide behind.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostVague response from them as usual. The offside call looked clear from the reverse angle, but they switched to the other side of the pitch to draw the lines and called it on.
I still haven't heard why they are not using the UEFA automated offside system - it's clear all the English teams in Europe have the capability. Kicking the can down the road so they can have one more season of control of that aspect of the game.We are here for a good time not a long time....

To be fair I think he has been quite restrained if he has only used "offensive, insulting, or abusive language" If I were in his position I would have used all threeOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostVague response from them as usual.
