If you view his decline as being "post 2011", then your meniscus comment is valid. But I think his form dropped off earluer than that, and anyway he himself blames this - and his poor form subseqnently - on the three or four hamstring injuries he had in 2009.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostThat's not possible as his book was published in 2009 and so predates both the meniscus injury in 09/10 and his decline which was post 2011.
God knows why we are arguing over this.
When I'm right.😉

After the knee injury/ops in 2010 is when the decline set in. So the tail end of his LFC career, but most markedly from around the time he joined Chelsea in January 2011 onwards.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostIf you view his decline as being "post 2011", then your meniscus comment is valid. Statistically he hit his best form for in 09/10, after the hamstring issues that hounded him in 08/09, but before the knee problem.
It may well be that the meniscus problem was a cascade issue from the hamstring injuries though so would stand to reason if he does blame them for his eventual decline..

That would probably mean Gakpo on the left and Diaz through the middle as Gakpo only ever plays from the left.Originally posted by DerKrampus View PostI'm not surprised by Jones for Szoboszlai, or Tsimikas for Robertson, those two need a rest. I thought Gakpo would have started in place of Jota though. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
