I'm a bit concerned that Wirtz tendencies seem to drift in from the left, as does Ekitike (and Isak). Will our attack become lob-sided.

If we find ourselves overloading the left, I assume that may result in additional space and chances for our attacker on the right. In that case it would be quite handy if that attacker on the right were to be one of the most lethal forwards in the world. It would be quite handy indeed....It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

I see where you're going with that, but someone needs to pass him the ball.Originally posted by memzey View PostIf we find ourselves overloading the left, I assume that may result in additional space and chances for our attacker on the right. Coincidentally he got the lowest score for a player who wasn't sent off in a match, which may be subjective, i dunno. But i do know the attack on the right side was very poor yesterday.

I would hazard a guess his tweet and maybe the ramifications from within the club may have been playing on his mind. Not to mention the sorrow. Not an excuse but it wasn't a fully fledged serious game yesterday.Originally posted by labourRed View PostI see where you're going with that, but someone needs to pass him the ball.

Perhaps. But his record in finals/Wembley is surprisingly poor.Originally posted by BigChief View PostI would hazard a guess his tweet and maybe the ramifications from within the club may have been playing on his mind. Salah spent most of last season doing very little. Still managed to rack up a record number of goals and assists in between.Originally posted by labourRed View PostI see where you're going with that, but someone needs to pass him the ball.

We have to accept he cant run or beat players, but given space he can still find the net or put in a perfect ball, but he needs service. I think it might take a while to gel with Frompong. Salah was on specific orders not to track back last year. With both right sided players ultra attacking, I think it will take time to find the right balance there. Think tat depends a lot on Grav being on the pitch though. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Looks like it's going to take him awhile to get into the flow of things. He just won't have the time on the ball he had in the Bundas and our fixture list at the start of the season has been and is very unforgiving. Classy player with so much talent but really struggled in the opening games, looking lightweight and slow. He is one that could really do with a goal.
