We've all bemoaned Trent's defending for years so having Frimpong is a good thing.
Guehi is better (currently) than Quansah.

    Ergo, defence strengthened, not weakened.

The midfield core remains the same, we just might shuffle people round a little.
And I reckon Wirtz won't be a LW, i think he will be our Bobby F, feeding Salah/Gakpo/Diaz/StrikerUnkown from anywhere he feels like.

I hope he is the new Bobby, we mighl line up as 433, but in possession Ryan drops deep, the wing backs kick on and we end up 2124 in a counter attacking overload.

Whatever it ends up being, I expect the formation will be very fluid with and without the ball. Our press will probably be higher up the pitch and we will see the front line switch sides more often than last season.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Don't get me wrong he is a very good player, and well suited to our style of play but I am not sure that there are only 3 CBs outside LFC who are as good as him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

So let’s say in the PL -

          VVD

          Konate
          Gabriel
          Saliba

          Braintwaithe
          Gvardiol

fwiw as far as our lineups and transfer business goes (which may not be worth, but hey ho) i just noticed the wirtz is listed as a forward rather than a midfielder on the offal.

Is only pre season of course, but damn if he does not look like he is going to create a crazy amount of good chances for our attackers.

Yeah but not half bad for the first hit out with his new squad.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                    A bargain in FF too.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Going to be a tough season for Szobo, it looks like he'll be playing deeper and has some pretty tough competition for those places.

If we play 433 and everyone is fit it is hard to see him being a regular in the starting 11. It’s even worse for Jones.

I think we'll see a lot more rotation this year. Our squad will be too good not to.

5 starting midfielders into 3 slots isn't a lot, so I think he'll still get plenty of opportunities.

Plus MacAllister's ongoing injury is a wee bit ominous, so we'll maybe manage his minutes a bit better next year. He played a fair bit with a minor injury, so we'll probably not take any risks like this season.

Slot has admitted he got that wrong and will need to rotate more this season. Plus he’s got players in he wants and trusts more. I think we’ll see it a lot more.

I think Alexis is some personal issues with an ex that I’ve seen people mention. Haven’t looked into it as it’s not something I’m interested in.

I think Slot “trusting” his players is a big thing, plenty he didn’t trust last season and we didn’t rotate much
