I don't think he is as injury prone as people suggest, but he's not a player who will regularly play 2 full games a week, there has to be some managing of minutes do there will be alot of game time for both of them, obviously any friction would come if one person feels that they aren't playing enough of the big gamesThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In 3 years at Newcastle, he missed 39 games, more than a full PL season. It definitely is a concern and it would be poor management from the club if we gambled on him as our only established CF.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI don't think he is as injury prone as people suggest, but he's not a player who will regularly play 2 full games a week, there has to be some managing of minutes do there will be alot of game time for both of them, obviously any friction would come if one person feels that they aren't playing enough of the big games
But all this has been covered in the summer obviously the club feel they can keep him fit. Thankfully we do have Ekitike, so can manage his minutes and hopefully get the absolute best out of him.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He also missed a lot of training and was a doubt for most games. He's no Mo or Suarez.Originally posted by peterbread View PostIf you look at the details I’m sure it was one big injury that he missed most of that time for. It wasn’t from regular injuries. In his last two seasons he’s played a lot of games.
Anyway, we've been decent at managing injuries under Slot, so hopefully same applies to Isak.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He’s only had 1 long term injury, but he’s an also had a succession of various other short term issues during most seasons of his career.Originally posted by peterbread View PostIf you look at the details I’m sure it was one big injury that he missed most of that time for. The good news is, he increased his minutes each season at Newcastle. But his best is 3,300 mins for club in all competitions (last season). And Newcastle would regularly sub him off around 70-80 mins.
We’re used to our key players routinely breaking 4000+ minutes for us.
But it appears our plan is to accept that Isak probably tops out around 3000 mins and that’s why we’ve also signed Ekitike to cover the rest..
