He’s relishing the physicality of the derby. Took his goal well too.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

What a signing, nowhere near the finished product but you tell there is something special about him.

Isak signing does feel a bit odd, like when we bought Dudek and Kirkland.

Hopefully we can find a way to fit both in the team at the same time.

No need. They'll rotate the starts as long as we can i presume.

Maybe he'll take Gakpo's place on occasions.

I dont think its odd at all. We can't ask 1 CF to play every minute of the PL and CL plus cup games.

We had 2 No.9s in the squad in Jota and Nunez last season and also played Diaz there too. They're all gone now.

                2 replacements isn't excessive, it's nessacery.

Might work well with Kerkez overlapping. I think he could play off Isak as well. He can create and link play as well as finish. Great all round player.

100% I find it odd that people are questioning it. Not just on here but in the media.

As Slot said the other day, there's been so much focus on the incoming players, that people seem to have overlooked that there were also many who left.

You dont whack 80m on a backup though?

Or 120m on a backup if Ekitike keeps on going.

I think there is a longer term plan when Salah leaves to have both in there maybe?

Its not that we don't need 2 central strikers, its the perception that they are both excellent and worthy of a start every game.

                              I see what you mean.

That's the surprising part. That we went so big on both, instead of one big ticket signing and the other a more opportunistic, lower fee type.

But if we look at last season, we played over 5000 minutes.

Isak in a good season gives you around 3000 mins. He isn't a Salah or a Virgil in that regard. That leaves 2000 plus for Ekitike at No.9, plus he'll probably get another chunk at LF.

I think this is part of it, I wouldn't be surprised if we played two up top when Salah is at AFCON...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
