He would have got more game time but he stupidly got himself sent off and then picked up an injury.

This is the best fit/solution for me. I'm not sure how suited Ekitike is on the right though.

Would it be something like this.

With the ball you have Wirtz as a 10 with Ekitike and Isak ahead of him more centrally. And without the ball Isak and Ekitike move wider and Wirtz defends from the middle so the normal 3 across the pitch to defend.

And for the width the fullbacks when in possession can push higher up and have Gravenberch staying deeper between the CB’s or between midfield and the last line floating in those spaces with Dom and Mac Allister playing centrally ahead of him. Maybe a 343 with the ball and a 433 without the ball or something between the two.

He has to start every game. Either Isak plays with him but as things stand stands he is the first player on the team sheet for front three.

Yeah he hit the ground running immediately and has been impressive, has to start.

Pure quality and links up play so well. Wouldn’t mind seeing Chiesa and Ekitike start together if Isak isn’t fit for the weekend.

He’s like a regen of Torres.

                That goal was pure Torres.

Hugo is a much better all rounder than Isak, he’s pure silk to watch and can only get better and better, has to start at the weekend.

that's exactly who he reminds me off, said it previously that pacey deceiving lope, link play and clinical finishing... Torres all over.

It's still not apparent to me why we signed both Hugo and Isak. Hopefully all will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The whole goal was like a left sided Trent to Salah, from Robbo’s pass to Hugo’s run and finish.

They are very different players for all the talk they were the same. Ekitike moves around more and drops deeper. Isak on the last line with Ekitike and Wirtz behind him is the way to go like tonight.

Because we lost/sold the 2 No.9s that we had.

Doubt it, Isak has a groin injury now, his previous groin problems have been 2-4 weeks…
