When the all came to him on the run his finish was great.
When hes running with the all he looks good, but he often seems to like to come to a stop in front of the defender and do a little dance

Damn right it was a good finish & he was clearly onside too. Linesman have forgotten how to do their job. VAR comes in to play in the FA Cup in round 5

I know some people don't like some of the fractional calls but it prevents the terrible decisions like this which officials on the own are clearly capable of messing up.

Shame for Rio as it would have been his first goal at Anfield and it was a good finish.

Denied a fair goal today due to no VAR

    What did we do wrong?
    It's a tribunal fee, not a fine.

Hopefully we've got the best end of the deal in any case. Like any youngster, he could do with upping his end product, even if that is just a pass. My biggest concern with him is Slot though, he's not shown much interest in the squad or youth players.

His cameo was impressive and probably looked more likely than anyone else to create something in his time on the pitch, I don't think he's ready to start but I would be looking to give him 20-30mins or so.

I have said this before but I think Chiesa does his best work in the middle of the goal, while Isak is injured I would be using him as CF when Ekitike needs to be taken off. For me he (Chiesa) can't really do much in the wide roles where we have been trying to play him in the last couple of games.

Played for the u-21’s today. I think it was only 45 minutes.

Since the story about Slot not going to an academy game arranged for him to watch the young players and the frustration from above about his lack of use of Rio and others we’ve seen Rio used more and even had Nyoni used.

Agree with both of you. Chiesa in the middle works better as a sub he just doesn’t have the pace out wide. And Rio had a good little cameo today. Looked dangerous and should be getting game time against tired legs in games where he can utilise his pace and dribbling. Got in a couple of good crosses.
