We have been piss poor defensively in the two games so far and the subs that worked so well for us last season have had the opposite effect so far.

Not having a striker on the pitch when needing a goal again isn't ideal...

All the new players barring Ekitike are understandably still getting used to proper English football. Today was a good lesson for Kerkez, Frimpong and Wirtz. And the lesson cost us nothing.

I was more pissed of at Endo, Jones and Szob. Why the feck did one of them not hold back in case there was a break? Which there was and Semenyohad free run through the middle.

A free run in the sense that Konate proved no obstruction whatsoever. For both goals, we had the players in the right area, they just couldn't impact the situation. Robbo because he's too slow, and Konate because I'm not sure

Bournemouth looked alot fitter than us today, they still looked a decent side even with the players they've lost.

I think a bit of patience is going to be needed for the first month or two.

A very emotional off season. Lots of new players, four in the starting team today. And whatever tweaks Slot has made for the new season. Players like Dom playing a different role now as well.

It will be fun and frustrating and they’ll score plenty as it starts to settle down but I have no doubt they’ll get there.

Add in Guehi who probably would have come on for Konate, Gravenberch back next week, Alexis getting match fit hopefully Isak too. Let it settle and we’ll be smashing some teams.

Mental first game of the season! Scary at times at the back but we were massively brave to go for it and it paid dividends in the end.

Disappointed to see Semenyo racially abused, that's disgusting tbh and our fanbase will be in for pelters now.

So sad seeing the impact Jota's death has had on Salah, emotional scenes at the end there but so proud of the fans and club for the support for Jota and the tributes paid.
