Judging by Arne's comments before the Real game, there is a chance he'll make the bench against City, but no guarantee. I think we were expecting him back in a fuller capacity after the inters. Let's hope the Swedes don't flog him to pieces! It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

Isak did a ****in number on us.
This whole narrative that it would take a few weeks for him to get us to speed, and he hasn't had a pre season etc. What the **** was he doing?? The guy should have been staying fit himself ffs. So disappointing and I suspect he will be sold within 2 seasons with a loss of around 60 million.
All of the signings have been a disappointment so far. We would currently be in a much better situation if we didn't do any transfer business in the summer. How **** is that having been so excited with them all.
Wirtz will get better imo and I think kerkez will as well when all of the players around him are in form. But Isak has been the biggest disappointment.

You can’t do a pre season on your own though, I don’t think he was shoving Maccy Ds in his face and boozing. All he could do which he did was train alone. No contact, nothing dynamic, no sports science support.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostIsak did a ****in number on us.

It is what it is for me, he sacrificed his reputation to try and sign for us with 3 years still on his contract. Just have to hope the picking up minor injuries isn’t going to be a thing for him.Modifying post.

Yeah can't judge Isak yet, missing the entire premier league pre season and the extreme fine tuning that is to the highest level specifically targeting each individual player..... is real problem. Then add another injury to that because he's probably playing catch up. Been a disaster start for him.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah the injury or possibly two injuries are where the real answers lie.
In theory if he had been fit (walk around fit - IE no underlying issues) come the start of September then he would be match fit well before the end of October ( taking into account new club, new teammates and so on as well) at the latest imo.
But think he had some niggle that saw him not start full training until mid September and then three or so weeks into October he got his current injury.
So he was most likely approaching being ready when the injury in late October happened and that injury will see him put back a bit again in terms of being fully ready.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah - him picking up the injury hasn’t helped. Big Arne said that was basically him back to square one. By now he should ideally be battle hardened!Originally posted by Kenneth View Post5 weeks; that's how long our preseason was. 8th July until 15th August. We're now 13 weeks into to the season. Missing preseason is not the issue.Modifying post.

Sweden have 1 point and are bottom of their group. The Swiss can qualify if they beat Sweden on Saturday and the other result goes their way.
They really shouldn’t be playing an unfit Isak, it we all know they don’t give a **** about the players or their clubs, so I’d expect him to start. We are here for a good time not a long time....
