I don't know if this formation is ever used outside of football games (Fifa 19 ) but on paper, this seems like the ideal formation for the players we have

    Ekitike ------- Isak
    Wirtz ---------------------------- Szoboszlai
    Grav --- Mac Allister

Florian and Dom both capable of playing as wingers when needed, but this gets our best players on the pitch

There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Think you would need someone like Fernandes from West Ham there, in place of MacAllister, to play as part of a double pivot with Gravenberch.

And let Wirtz and Szobo be LM and RM or LAM and RAM rather than trying to be out and out wingers.

Do like how it would let Ekitike drop back during games to a left position and Wirtz maybe moving in centrally when that happens.

Only real issue I would have with it is a lack of killer pace, though I guess maybe you are using the full backs to provide that on the over lap?

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Stevie Wonder can see what happens here.......he shows signs of form.....goes to the world Cup, plays well over there for a few games, we all get excited.......and then he gets injured!!!

If he has a storming World Cup we might get a chance to sell him for what we paid?

                    Why would we sell?

His injury record and fixing what went wrong this season starts with the press. We don’t defend from the front.

To buy a player we actually need...

How did he go today in the 20 odd minutes off the bench?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                            Nothing.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I know he is not fit, but it feels like we have been screwed over. After signing Ekitike, then selling Diaz, Isak was the wrong player for a ridiculous fee. Hopefully once he is fully fit he will start smashing them in
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

We haven't been screwed over, he was epic at Newcastle and on paper was a great fit for the team and they way we played last season. Issue is that we didn't both him and Ekitike for such high fees, and it made us neglect the areas we needed to strengthen

Diaz should have been replaced before buying a second elite striker

Not screwed over. We did that all by ourselves
