So many chances created and should have scored a few more.I heard that too, but I find that unbelievableOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostThat's what they said. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Gravo was class first half and just excellent second. Szob saved us so many times, his energy is another planet.Originally posted by peterbread View PostFor all their possession I never felt like they created any clear cut chances while we created plenty. A goal that shouldn’t have been and a big deflection.
Gravenberch again showing his class tonight. One tit for another.

We’ve had a tough start (Burnley aside) against hard working physical teams and we’ve found a way to win. Statistically we battered these tonight but poor finishing from us and a wonder deflection from them allowed them to be level.
Even though they were missing players, they are v well drilled and work so hard. Koke made a big difference when he came on and we lost control in midfield. It was also v annoying that they still had another chance after we scored
Anyway, we’ve won again and deserved to do so

Not a chance, unless fitness becomes an issue. Him and Dom/Macca are doing so much work, and giving Grav so much support. Yes, he's not got that final third involvement yet, but you can tell from the opposition demeanour that he is seen as a threat.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThink a couple of substitute appearances might be good for wirtz and us.
He's being swamped by two or three players the moment he gets the ball, but still seems to find a man with the pass. And as the opposition tire, the space he gets becomes more meaningful and he suddenly looks a lot more threatening.Originally posted by peterbread View PostI thought Wirtz was pretty good tonight. He’s gradually finding his feet and his defensive work is underrated.

Can't agree about Wirtz. He did some good things but his passing was dismal and he was bullied off the ball far to easily. He's more of a liability than benefit still and he needs to improve soon or share his game time.Originally posted by peterbread View PostI thought Wirtz was pretty good tonight. But Isak brought something else to the attack. Instantly linking up with everyone.

That's a great point. They are a unit that are used to playing together and have those on pitch understandings built up all over the pitch, whereas we are still very much a work in progress, albeit a very talented on.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
