It's going to be wet. My lad has set off to go the Liverpool university open day today, of all days, and it's forecasting rain, and plenty of it.

We broke the record for shots/XG in torrential rain when beat Newcastle a couple seasons ago.

Big calls from Slot but to have Wirtz and Isak to come on late in the game is something else. And it’s not like the team starting is lacking much. Ridiculous squad.

                What a bench

Wirtz, Isak, Frimpong, Jones and Rio - all game changers

Wirtz to get a last minute winner in front of the Kop. You heard it here first.

I agree with the call not to have Wirtz play in this one, I know some will say he has been dropped but there will be no space for him to play in, and while still adapting to the pace of the PL not starting him in the derby makes sense, not to mention they will try and kick the **** out of anyone in a red shirt. Having guys with more experience in this fixture is a good move
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Pleased with that starting side with so much strike power still on the bench.

It’s a big call to start Kerkez - hopefully he learned from that daft dive and he keeps his head. They will try to wind him up.

Yeah, let's hope he can keep his calm, they will no doubt have had the dirty tricks book out, so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play 90mins

It's a Merseyside Derby, of course it's going to be rough. We just need to be physical too. Can't go complaining before the game that due to their limitations in ability they may try to rough us up. That's what a derby should be about. Blood and thunder.

So happy, and confident, to see that midfield against Everton. And dare I be so bold, no passengers in our team to start barring maybe Salah (unless he's kick started his season against Atletico).
