Wow, some have lost their head after the first defeat of the season.

I get that, but we have all watched every game, and we all know that it's we're not playing well. Have we had one good 90 mins yet? Some of it is players being new, we've had some fitness issues, but the manager can't rely on 'it'll gel eventually'. The patterns of play are predictable and largely ineffective. I'd take a couple of fewer points and signs of an exciting new playing style emerging at this stage.

The way we are playing is diabolical. Yes, they're deep, but it's one side to the other in midfield, back to the CB, almost play ourselves into trouble, back to sideways passing on the half way line, and if we still have the ball, get the right back to play a hopeful cross to the goalkeeper. No finesse, not clever play through the lines, not dribbling and beating a player, no balls to feet in the box, **** all movement into spaces that do appear, too many long balls, it's absolute dross. All we have is set prices, fortunate breaks in the box and moments of genius from top players. The game plan sucks.

It's a **** game plan with salah in the team because the ball always comes back again. Same play on other side and at least gakpo gets crosses in and the odd shot. Salah is not the guy anymore when opposition are strong and organised. Maybe later in the game when they're tired.

Isak isn't fit, same with Frimpong, Kerkez is getting there Ekitike has been good, his red card could have proved costly today though. Wirtz is the issue he's not up to speed and we don't really seem to know where he fits or how to best use him

In what way did Wirtz cause us problems today? We actually lost momentum when he went off.

I think that was largely coincidence tbh, Jones had a stinker. Gakpo added width but we didn't really try and find him because we focused everything on the right side.

I think you've answered your own question there. We're way ahead of were we should be with this many new players from other leagues trying to get to grips with the league. Getting Mac Alistair back to full fitness will help and we missed Ekitike today.

I feel that was the forest away of last season. Not worried in the least.

I think Wirtz has been signed to play behind a front 2, with Ekitike and Isak we have two forwards, I feel when Salah is away at ACN that is what we will try but with a front three I don't see how he fits in, it hasn't really seemed to work with him as an attacking mid so far (hopefully he will get there) and playing from the left isn't really his position.

We should have been able to beat palace without Ekitike. We were so passive and panicked in that first half, and so easy to play through, it was crazy
