Would just like to see us with a bit of defensive stability to be honest. Obviously a win is important - the most important thing - but I'd love to see us keep a clean sheet here.

Hoping that Robbo starts to be honest and would also not mind seeing Gomez instead of Konate.

I would like to see Wirtz start this game. I think he will be offered the time and space to show what he can do.

Their fans will expect them to push on at home so Frimpong on the right might have opportunities to make his pace count.

I would have been more positive on Gomez for Konate had he not had such a poor showing against Southampton but it could still happen. I suppose he might need games to play himself into some form.

I wouldn't rest too many more than that but staff will have a better idea than any of us.

Defensively Gomez wasn’t too bad against Southampton, he just gave away possession a number of times (in really stupid places). I’d expect him to be much better next to Virgil.

Might be a good idea to try and get more of the squad from last season in the team at the moment. The new players obviously need game time too but right now a bit more experience together might be good.

              Ali
              Bradley Gomez/Konate VVD Robertson
              Gravenberch Jones
              Frimpong Dom Gakpo
              Ekitike

I’d picked Jones to start as he’s playing well and making an impact and Alexis isn’t going yet. I agree with others that it might be a good option to have Frimpong in to start for Salah. Konate is very frustrating right now as he’s either playing well or shocking. That seems to be a bit of his career to be honest no real middle ground. You’d think at this stage of his career he’d have sorted those stinkers out. Wirtz might make more of an impact coming in fresh against tired teams right now to help him build some form and confidence. Isak isn’t match fit yet so rotating with Ekitike seems the best option.

We've got a number of players that to some extent aren't firing on all cylinders. Some of these will need games to get into form. Some might have issues that require minutes being managed to get them up and running. Add to that a tweaked pattern of play that has yet to be fully settled and team selection looks a far from straight forward proposition. The line-up will be interesting to say the least.

One good part is that the game is away, and Gala fans will probably be pissed with their team if they go full Stoke. So yes, good time to give Wirtz and Isak (2nd half) more game time.

I think Ekitike is going to have a big game tonight. He’ll want to make up for his silly mistake. We’ve seen the footballing side of his game and why he was signed but tonight we’ll see his mental side as he responds to his first little set back.

I think he's going to take his shirt off at KO and then kick the ball at the ref

Salah dropped. You've gotta give it to Slot, never afraid to mix it up.

Should be using the fullbacks offensively a bit more in this one.

Why is Robertson not playing? I know Kerkez is one of slots signings, but he's been very average so far. Put some experience in, especially away in a hostile environment.

Frimpong at full back or as Mo v2.0?

That's a good question. Frimpong is more like Salah 0.2 though. V2.0 is still at Bayern.

                                It could be either.
