The fullbacks in Bradley, Frimpong and Kerkez should be offering real width and a threat in attack but play very narrow and go into other players spaces.

Gakpo and Mo are offering nothing in attack meaning Isak or Ekitike aren’t getting much service. The tactic of Mo not having to defend as much as in the past worked last season but isn’t this season.

That press from the front players is all over the place. They don’t work as a team more individually leaving huge gaps. You could see Dom getting frustrated with it in the first half.

Alexis has dropped right off so far this season. Letting the one true DM go and attack and not staying back like last season makes no sense. In the first half Gravenberch was pressing right up the pitch on the right side to cover Mo but it left us so light in midfield when they got through it.

The thing with Salah and doing less defensive work is fine if he is getting of order 50 G/As but if you aren't then it starts to become a problem. Last season he was the main man this season bringing the likes of Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz in it was inevitable that he would get fewer chances. I actually thought today was one of his better games this season, he got and created a few chances but his decision making was poor and his shooting was off target.

It's early days but to be honest the only players who have been better than a 5/10 this season have been Alisson, VVD, Szoboszlai Gravenberch and Ekitike.

Off target is generous. They had two shots from the same place as Mo and made the keeper work both times, Mo hit one of them into the top tier of the stand.

They were crap, and we were crapper. A draw would have been two lost points, losing to half a Chelsea team is a very bad result.

Another thing I didn't get was why we gave Isak 75mins and Ekitike 15. I know we want to get Isak fit and he has come for a high fee with big reputation... etc but he had barely posed a threat and looks way off it.

Completely ****ing **** result to be honest with you, but strangely doesn’t feel as bad as the last two in a strange way it’s a bit of a relief. Let’s see. Let’s see how Arsenal get on for a while at the top, we can re-gather, get our **** together again and let’s see what happens.
