Cucurella explains how Chelsea repeatedly focused their attacks down their left side, because they knew Salah doesn't track back and stays high waiting to counter-attack
It worked last season because both VVD and Trent have the ability to get the ball quickly to Salah but it’s only VVD who’s really capable of playing that type of pass from deep now. They need to find another way of getting the ball to him if they persist with that tactic.
And it feels like the team worked well to cover that defensively with both Gravenberch and Dom able to move over to the right and help out but it’s not working this season.

Our great nemesis Slur Alex Fergiescum got it right when getting rid of star players 99% of the time. I feel like sometimes we are far too emotional when it comes these types of moves.
Yeah but it's a tactical change that's affecting Mo, not necessarily a drop in fitness or ability. Frustrating as it was, he's always struggled to score from the positions he took up yesterday.
Cock Piss Partridge. Total **** and an utter let down.
There's some absolute jokeshop calls for Slot to quit but he certainly needs to reconsider his approach to games and start speeding up our build up play.
The Premier League is far fitter and better organised than most leagues so the slow patient play usually ends a low block and eventual break on our defence.
We have the players to play a faster style of football, let's do that instead.

I'm convinced Slot is worried about team burnout. But there's different approaches to that and i don't think this team is that great at possession based football anyway.
Anyway we've two weeks off to draw up another plan otherwise it won't matter if the team are burnt out in March or not.
I'm not convinced by the burnout explanation for the end of last season. In the league, maybe, but I think we just stop playing when we knew we were going to win it. In the champions League we just played a better team than us.
