He was only on for about 15 mins, but I thought Wirtz was ****.

48 hours or so later to convince yourself it was worthy to post? he did look poor, I don't think we ever needed him and he'll be bombed out at end of season.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I'd swap wirtz or isak for semenyo right now.

          Or Diaz.

Isak has been really disappointing for me. That "he had no pre-season" thing only passed if he was injured imo. What the **** was he doing all summer ffs, genuinely pulling up the handbrake because he thinks he is staying with Newcastle???

Keep Diaz and sign Guehi instead of him and we re in a much better place

We would still need another 9 even if we kept Diaz, having lost both Nunez and Jota. Not saying that should have been Isak, but it can't just be Ekitike

All that's fine, but one player wanted to go. The other wanted to come, but the club refused the sale. Who are we criticising here?

Transfers aren't cut and dry and not easy to get over the line. That said, i don't think anyone i spoke to wanted Isak and to be honest i fully expected this start from him (thank goodness for Ekitike).

We clearly wanted Guehi, and Leoni was terribly unlucky (as are we). So at least the club targeted the right positions (we definitely needed another striker).

There was/is an argument for a DCM but we may be waiting for someone specific knowing for now we have Gravenberch, Endo and Bajcetic. And a dynamic wide forward is still missing from the squad but i expected Wirtz to play off the left but he hasn't usurped Gakpo at this stage - nor are either pacing dynamic forwards, Semenyo fits that bill and maybe we'll approach that in January.
