CL Real Madrid at home Tuesday 4th Nov 8pm

Unusually only 1 sub yesterday despite being 2 up after 58 mins. Was there a message being sent by Slot to those on the bench? Was Slot looking to improve the fitness levels of those he played or something else that I’ve missed? Ekitike was the only outfield player selected yesterday & the only one replaced of the 11 starters. Sending a message to the new players maybe.

So moving on to this match, who starts ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I'm assuming this is because Ekitike needs to lead the line against Madrid, in Isak's absence

So do you think any of those on the bench yesterday are a chance of starting in this match? Can Robbo play two matches in a week or do we keep him fresh for the PL & play Kerkez in the CL?

Would this be a game for Wirtz? Right now European games might suit him better. Play him on the left with freedom to move about. It will allow the three man midfield to stay together which balances out the team.

Dom likes to link up with Mo down the right and that got Mo looking better yesterday and so did Bradley. Then you have Mac Allister linking with Wirtz down the left side which might work better for both and Robertson would also potentially bring the attack up a level on that side.

Yeah I think Wirtz starts. Kerkez will start one of the next 2 also. Probably this one.

Yep Wirtz starts and I think Kerkez does too, mainly because not sure Robbo can back up again on Tuesday

Sigh, when will Chiesa get a start?

This game is on Amazon Prime BTW.

I hope Bradley boots Mbappe 10feet in the air again.

Mbappe is going to be gunning for revenge after last year that’s for sure.

And he’s bang in form, added to Vini being available, he missed the game last year. They’ve some big firepower in the side now and I’d worry about Vini vs Bradley tbh.

Well they're not long ball merchants so we have a good chance. Man City, on the other hand, will ****in do us big time with their get it to the big lad Pulisball.

Not really sure what to expect here, better performance at the weekend, but we had a week to prepare, Madrid are obviously one of the best sides in Europe, so it was always going to be a tough game, but the way that they play isn't perhaps as problematic as some of the recent games we have struggled in. I'd like to think we could win this and get a huge confidence boost going forward and put a run together, but the side still have alot of work to do to convince me they are capable of that, would probably consider a draw and a good performance as decent progress.
