It's a good team selection. But I wonder how Valverde would do against Wirtz in that set up?

The bigger issue however, is your decision to use the players forum nicknames. While undoubtedly efficient, it's also rife with danger. You start off this way for obvious pragmatic purposes but very soon you'll find yourself in ****in "skittles" territory. Christ, do you think RM will play choochoo now? Step back from this man, please.

This lot could thump us given our recent struggles but I’m hoping for a big European night performance from us - I think a score draw, maybe 2-2

Wirtz seems powder puff lightweight, he'd get bullied in against under 11s girls team.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He needs a huge performance from somewhere to ****in arrive. He was good against Frankfurt though.

If Kerkez gets the nod at left back, then I am not too sure if Wirtz on left of a forward line would be a good idea though tbh

I'd love to see it though......but I would also push Mo into the box a bit more and let Dom occupy the wide right area of the pitch. A narrow midfield 442 (even a diamond)......

Wirtz definitely needs a performance to say he's in the building, would be a massive boost for his confidence, a huge European night at Anfield could be the answer but I have a feeling he might get bullied tonight.

If he is to get bullied, and continue on his strengthening journey, then I'd rather it be tonight where a non-win is not so crucial to us.

Those two could work together as Wirtz would drift infield where he’d be most effective and Kerkez can attack and provide width which is what’s his strength is.

And that’s what I thought the plan for the left side was when we signed them

And it might still be the plan...when the team as a whole is performing better.

#LFC v Real Madrid: Mamardashvili; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitike.

Subs: Woodman, Miscuir, Gomez, Endo, Kerkez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Ngumoha

                          Very happy with that team.

Slot benching Gakpo for Wirtz, that’s a pleasant surprise.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Yeah. This is a game worth doing that in. I also think playing Gakpo in the middle could be an option, if only to show him he doesn't need to cut in and shot all the time.
