If a business leader came out with that kind of embarrassing bull**** at the start of the week, only to be discredited days later most would be fired, or resign. Others here have said we need two separate independent organisations for on pitch and VAR officiating to break the old boy network. Maybe recruit the best from Europe and fly them in for on pitch officials and have some digital specialists train AI to run VAR.

How many times does Oliver have to screw up in favour of City? He should not be allowed to referee or VAR City, Arsenal or us for the rest of the season. Those jollies to the Middle East need to be publicly investigated. How much was he paid, has he been paid since etc?

As for Mic’d Up - I’d keep it but put someone like Goldbridge in charge and give him free rein to have a proper go at Webb and get the dickheads making the stupid/corrupt decisions in the studio too. There have to be consequences for ****ing up continually!

They turned down the FIFA/UEFA automated offside to build their own semi-automated system so they could still manipulate the system.

I suggested earlier in the week it would be great if they were hacked and exposed for the frauds they are. Some forensic accountant could probably tie Webb to Fergie until he retired and then demonstrate he’s been in City’s pocket since then.

I’d really like the honest truth about the accuracy of the offside system at all grounds. Gut feel tells me they have been spouting **** since the start.

If you really want it to be the best league get the best in the business to ref it. I’m sure they can afford it. It could also take away some of the perceived bias and refs not being able to officiate certain games, which doesn’t seem to be the same for all of them anyway.

I’ve seen others mention this but if you look at how well run this type of thing is in other sports why didn’t they learn from that? The arrogance to think they knew better and to not use proven methods was a massive mistake. I really like the way you can hear the ref in rugby through the whole game on TV and how they communicate with players and only the captain can approach the ref.
